Never watch MLS before, But the top teams have really good quality and Cincinnati and Nashville is both really good team and overall far better than Inter Miami,only reason both then lost was because of Messi.

Both those teams tied Inter Miami. In the regular season, there are no shootouts at the end of the game.

The 2nd best player in Miami team is the injuried Messi, He will play for winning, maybe come from bench. Messi has a ultra saving battery mode for playing football. He gets used to it.

Messi can come off the bench in next game/ a few games. But you have to look at the same for busquets and Alba.

Messi isn't retired from Argentina's and will keep playing for our country until he gets tired... We already are happy for him to join the next world cup (even if he gets tired and doesn't perform like before). Messi is "El Capitan". He acquired the status of legend, folk hero, "prócer del fútbol". We will follow our captain everywhere, until he decides to retire from football.

The GOAT needs some rest now, I hope the coach leave him on the bench next game. If Messi get injured, that will be a huge loss. Messi will destroy every MLS team when he stays healthy.

Agree with Heath !!! This similar vibe we all saw with Argentina under scaloni for the 1st team, before Copa America. Also, saw it during the first year at Barcelona with Pep. As leo mentioned in previous interviews, he never likes to be substituted rather more willing to come on from the bench, but that said Tata has got to go few matches testing different players and lineups to find the best which could grind results even without Messi or Busquets. I think the players are at a high confidence touched with magical brilliance of busi, alba and leo.. So i definitely see them qualify for the playoffs.

@@socialseahawksfan9325 from here on out the games are every 3 days plus playing for Argentina. The schedule has been very congested because of the leagues cup, mls schedule and US Open cup. Usually they only play once a week. Gotta rest your best players at least for a game or 2

@@mheiseus valid points. I dont think they will have any problem taking the last playoff spot if they remain healthy. If they do, I doubt anyone would be able to stop them winning the cup. Home advantage is out the window for everyone facing a messi led team.

Jordi and busi were glitching out, Mota and Gomez were absolute fucking dogshit, Tata used like 3 formations in the game, and everyone’s just so exhausted from everything that transpired in the leagues Cup with all the pen shootouts and winning. They’re literally playing a game and traveling every 3 days. But even then we won. No one is beating us if we are healthy, nobody.

I think Busi and Alba are also tired so it's not just a matter of resting Messi you are gonna have to rest them all. I think none of them should start in NY as I think the 120 mins at cinci was unfortunate the last straw. They looked gassed. But if Tata goes 5 - 3 - 2 again just try to keep it to 0-0 or 1-0 into half time and then let Messi & co win it in the 2nd half maybe

They can't afford to have draws or losses. Every game counts because they only have 12 games left plus they still have a U.S Open Cup Final to play next month. But i agree Messi, Busquets and Alba should come off the bench tomorrow and even in some of the games.

Once the new players fully integrate and Gregore come back from injury, Miami will be good enough to win even if Messi needs a rest.

Miami is going to have to run Messi into the ground. There is no margin for error. Play him until you are either eliminated or Messi drops from injury or exhaustion. There is no long term strategy for Miami this year.

Also, if Miami wants to get into playoffs, they need to win every game. Their hole is so big w/ only 18 points, they can't afford to tie. Red Bulls is a young team, and while they don't have a great striker, their defense is one of the best in the league. If Messi doesn't play, Miami will either lose and tie. It should be exciting, either way!

The thing is it's always risky to pay big money to see a player - he can have his hamstring play up in training and not play, he can hurt himself 5 minutes into a game & be subbed off as a precaution. There can never be any guarantee that you are gonna get to see that specific player play.

TATA made a mistake with that lineup. He should play Farias as a starter. He grew up playing in Argentina and has the authentic style of play of the streets, unlike the others. He should play with Messi always!

Remove #MESSI and Inter-Miami is the worst team even with Busquets and Alba. Inter's defense is awful , Mids sometimes forgets how to control and pass the ball. #MESSI is literally carrying this team & their Goal-Keeper to some extent.
