Germany’s "FC Bayer München" has shared its stadium with its local competitor "1860 München", and therefore nowadays "Allianz Arena" was illuminated differently (BM/red, 1860/blue) based who has played that day. Sad, that something like this seems not to be possible (even temporarily) in San Diego.

Even so there's gonna be two brand new MLS-size stadiums in San Diego by the time FCSD joins the League: SnapDragon and Petra Development's Sports Complex. They wouldn't need to share. unless one of the stadiums is entirely dedicated to the Wave.
I feel really bad hearing this news , I’m a loyal fan and this sucks.

I do wonder did the owner even try to seek a deal with Snapdragon Stadium? The San Diego Wave of the NWSL got that deal and drew great crowds. How did the Loyal not get the same?
As a Quakes fan that is in SD I really enjoyed watching the Loyal and really heartbroke that this is happening.

From what I understand, Loyal has been working on a stadium solution for their entire duration. It was even part of a proposed Midway district development that people could vote on. In short, that particular development proposal that included a stadium in the Midway District did not succeed at the time, and I’m unsure of where they are with that dev now. It's a huge land, tax, money issue in addition to whatever else behind the scenes that most of us are not privy to first hand.
If you can't find a stadium, find someone willing to build one

It would have depended on how the teams were to have earned the promotions. Via playoffs and/or regular season. The issue is the US Soccer pyramid as it stands is only 6 years old, from the top down not including MLS Next Pro. It's too recent to have a stable structure to even possibly support those kinds of shifts within league's. Also most teams are new as well, still not viable to support those promotions as well. The Sports leagues model in the US is different. It's solely from within a league to grow.

Business and capitalism is cutthroat. I feel bad the Loyal failed, but the owners got outflanked. The existential threat has always been a multi-billionaire group getting an expansion bid in SD… the Loyal frankly did not act quick enough to get into that ownership group, like merging the Loyal with the MLS group and getting 2% of the MLS team ($10M for Loyal divide by $500M MLS expansion fee)
Even if they didn't fold, when the mls team starts in 2025, no one would have cared about the loyal
He should get some of that Bank of America Mexican money

I will never forgive the MLS for these Messi prices. Makes an absolute joke of the league. I could get season tickets in Europe for a big team like Liverpool for the price of one game here. Explain how the MLS actually wants the grow the sport and not just milk some whales.
