Can confirm. PVC pipes often lie around at construction sites. Those considerate construction workers even tie them up in bundles of nice long pieces.

I'm actually genuinely impressed by the ingenuity and success of this. Especially the magnets keeping the spear in place, excellent touch!

This is probably my favourite video so far on this channel. The locations are beautiful, the speargun actually works, and the fish looked delicious.

This was surprisingly wholesome for an IDAT video. Mate made his own speargun at home, speared a fish with it, had a beautiful moment of pride, caught a few more, made a family dinner. Good times all around. Except for the fish. Shame about that, but it was a fair fight. Great vid man

@Maxwell Quinn but you can improvise almost any tool. Bandsaw Just a normal handsaw or metal saw. As a heatgun you can maybe use a Hairdryer or some Bunsenburner. A normal drill or maybe Some heating some metalsticks to get the holes

Spearfishing seems lots of fun. Combines the excitement of a hunt with fun in the water. I want to try it now.

I'm a recent fan going through your back catalogue and realizing that shooting children with a robot dog is just the culmination of years of missing your shot with every projectile weapon you've ever devised. Keep up the amazing work. Your videos are the best.

The fact that you just casually actually went spearfishing and actually turned it into a meal, while other channels would probably shoot ballistics gel, really impresses me. You don't skimp out, you just actually do what you say you're gonna do

@Thicc Shrek For the longest time we were taught to huddle in a corner away from the door after barricading the door. Some teachers took it a step further and told us to immediately dump everything in the cabinets on the floor and hide inside. Then one year we were taught to barricade the door, spread out thoughout the room, and grab anything that could possibly be used as a weapon. If someone enters and gets through the barricade then use a student as bait and have the others attack while the bait just craps his/her pants. Now we are back to barricade the door and hide in the corner like wimps... I guess they realized they couldn't tell us to sacrifice another student :/

If you just take the "of fish" part you will have your very own agent assigned to monitor you. Mines name is Jacob. Say hi Jacob.......aw he's shy. It's so cute.:)

That gun is literally a bigger more dangerous version of something we used to make as kids called a “pigeon gun” for exactly what you would expect. Two wooden clothes pegs a stick and two elastic bands. The metal part of one peg tied to a band makes the projectile, then you but the elastic band on the end of the stick, pull the metal part back, to where you’d have a peg tied to clasp it. Then literally point and press the peg to fire the metal piece at something (someone).

Your an amazing creator and you have a wonderful personality.

There's something very unnerving, bordering traumatising, watching my favourite Australian with a love for animals messing around with a stingray.

it's funny. But the thing is, the place they were using actual spearguns may have been a usual spot to hunt that way. Meaning, animals around that area are a lot more wary of humans and spearguns. Seriously, if you go to a third world country that has a lot of pigeons, the pigeons would stay on high places because people would hunt and eat them, whereas in places where people don't eat pigeons (like US or UK), the pigeons would hang around the ground areas usually in large flocks.
