As a tip, because it's something that I've seen a lot when people are learning Spanish is that you guys usually say "yo, Tú, nosotros, etc." a lot, and as a native speakers, we don't use it as much unless it is necessary and it sounds more natural. For example instead of saying: yo quiero comer pizza hoy, we say quiero comer pizza hoy, because the verb itself is telling the pronoun ;)

A recommendation. Learn spanish from a specific place. We use different words for different things. An example would be that here in Perú we call popcorn “canchita”, but in other places it is called “palomitas”, etc. Una recomendación. Aprende español de un lugar del mundo. Se usan palabras diferentes en algunas cosas. Por ejemplo: acá en perú le decimos al popcorn “canchita”, pero en otros lugares se puede decir “palomitas”, entre otros.

This was my first video of yours but you did a fantastic job in one month! Way more than most people that I know learned in high school spanish in the U.S. in two or three years :)

This is by far the best 30 day Spanish in a month challenge Ive seen, most of them are misleading and the person doing them already knows a fair bit of Spanish, but you were honest and despite not being fluent you made great progress and were speaking the language confidently after a month well done, respect

This is incredible you did so well. I have few questions! First - how come you were able to talk to teachers on call so quickly? I mean sure it wasn’t perfect but you were able to carry certain conversation on day 2 already and on day 6 you were already so good at talking, so as someone who has zero knowledge of Spanish I feel I wouldn’t be able to do that lol did you come on the call just with your knowledge from duolingo? Also second question have you been studying Spanish since then and are you very good at it now? Again great job and thanks you for the video!

Thanks for this. I have been lazily learning Spanish and other languages but just found out I have to (also get to :) travel to a Spanish-speaking country in three months. I've been to others before and had enough to get by but want to really ramp up to make things even easier this time. Also appreciate your positive comments on Duolingo. It gets a bad rap because it can't do everything but it does get many people to A2 or B1, and it can be very useful in concert with other tools. Most of all to me it's just a way for me to do SOMETHING (better than nothing) on days I'm feeling especially poorly.

I’m learning Spanish too :) Also mandarin, Japanese, korean and Icelandic :s If I wasn’t such a dweeb I’d love to talk with other fluent people but I’m too self conscious lol

​@@claragonsalves6344 Depends on your level, but I believe you can start with learning and practicing the Korean alphabet even as a beginner in Spanish or any other language that doesn't require learning new letters. For example, I practiced the Russian alphabet while learning Spanish, which now makes my Russian learning much easier :3

That's so cool!! I want to learn Spanish too! My goal is a lot easier. I live in Queens, NY which has a huge Latin population. I just want to be able to make small talk with people in the neighborhood. I'm doing 30 minutes for 30 days. I haven't worked out if I'll do 7 days a week or maybe just 5. Consistency is key, so I want to pick a schedule I will really stick with. I start this tomorrow!

What’s great your curiosity!! You learning Spanish. I learning Spanish too just my curiosity. Certainly Spanish speaks very wide area on the world when I know this advantage. I began learning Spanish that reason, it’s my favorite sports MLB (Major League Baseball) !! There’re a lot Latin players in MLB. Their countries are Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, Dominican Republic 🇩🇴, Mexico 🇲🇽, Venezuela 🇻🇪, Panama 🇵🇦, Colombia 🇨🇴, Nicaragua 🇳🇮, and exile of Cuba 🇨🇺, their mother language are Spanish. In other footballers, pro boxers, and luchadores in Mexico etc. not only baseball. Anyway Spanish speaks by various athletes. Spanish’s weak point? It’s winter sports. I think so. Besides I hate winter and I’m summer baby. My birthday is same of National Foundation day of Switzerland. Do you know this quiz? By the way I’m big Yankees fan!! Go Yankees forever!! ¡¡Qué estupenda tu curiosidad!! Estás aprendiendo español. Yo también estoy aprendiendo español en mi curiosidad. Seguramente el español está hablando muy amplio zona en el mundo que yo sé esa ventaja. Yo empezó aprendiendo español que esa razón, lo está mi favorito deporte MLB (el béisbol de la liga grande). Hay muchos jugadores latinos en MLB. Lo está el deporte invierno (¡¡¡INVIERNO es INFIERNO!!!) Yo creo que así. Además no me gusta invierno y soy nací en verano (summer baby). Mi cumpleaños es igual del Día Nacional de la Fundación de Suiza ¿Sabes este examen? Entonces ¡¡soy gran yankista!! ¡¡Vamos Yankees por siempre!!

This is an excellent video. I'm in the very early stages of learning Spanish at the moment using Babbel and I'm struggling with the masculine/feminine formal/informal variations on language even in the early stages and this gave me some great tips on how I can re-structure my learning :-)
