Many people can get adequate sources of vitamin C through their diets. Here are some great Gundry-approved foods to try:
Cooked broccoli: 54 mg per ½ cup
Cooked bok choy: 23 mg per ½ cup
Raw red cabbage: 42 mg per cup
Cooked brussels sprouts: 38-52 mg per 4 sprouts
Cooked kale: 28 mg per ½ cup
Cooked or raw cauliflower: 27-29 mg per ½ cup
Cooked asparagus: 22 mg per 6 spears
Sweet potatoes: 22 mg per potato

    There must me a distinction between water-solvable and fat-solvable vitamin C. Vitamin C that is most beneficial for skin and immune system is fat-solvable and comes from grass-fed meats and fermented vegetables, like sauerkraut. Vitamin C from tablets (ascorbic acid) is water solvable. Also, the tablets usually are laced with sugar. It’s best to get vitamin C directly from food rather than tablets.

    It’s best to get vitamin C from food while also supplementing I don’t know why anyone takes the sugary stuff and I would hardly consider that a “vitamin.” Still, there’s no reason to not take something like liposomal vitamin c. Cost may be an issue for some but you can make your own at home with the right equipment, at a much lower cost.

    I just remember that insulin level scales with uric acid which reduces vitamin C level if you have high insulin. Would that mean the best time to take vitamin C is in the morning when your fasting and at night when your done digesting and ready to sleep?

    Unfortunately, my husband and I can't take higher amounts of ascorbic acid (1,000 mg) without getting kidney stones. This has happened to me twice, so I'm being more cautious now.

    so everywhere is saying we on ly need 90 mg of vitamin c per day, but smallest amount i could buy was 500 mgs. not sure if im only suppose to take a quarter of one. This video mentions 1000 mgs twice a day?

    HELP! I'm having serious kidney issues and I haven't been able to find any videos of yours that address kidney failure. I don't have insurance at the moment so I haven't been able to go to the doctor to see how far gone they are. I've had stones in the past, and this pain I'm having is similar but hasn't gone away in weeks. Is it true that kidneys can't repair themselves even if you eat the right foods? Unfortunately I went down the carnivore rabbit hole and I think this is what has caused my kidney issues.

    Hypothyroidism is usually an autoimmune condition. In fact it is usually diagnosed as "Hashimoto's thyroiditis".

    I'm looking for a good source of vitamin C and am told by one health shop Ascorbic Acid buffered with baking soda is very good for you...when I double checked with another health company, they told me ascorbic acid is detrimental to your health, doesn't absorb properly etc...Which is true about ascorbic acid and why Dr Gundry?

    During fasting, the body uses other stores for energy which include the breakdown of stored proteins/amino acids and fats. Uric acid is a waste product of this catabolic process. Fasting has been reported to increase uric acid in the literature. Pace from Arabia ✌️😁

    I hope you mean 10,000 IU's of vitamin D, and not 10,000 Mg! And if you mean 10,000 IU's most doctors I've listened to, and asked on this topic say around 100 micrograms of vitamin K2 (MK7) per 10,000 IU's of vitamin D3 per day.
