never say people won't like your video even a small fix is a fix,. and none the less its informative

I like the little easy fix videos you post because they give me more hope that when something of mine breaks down I may be able to fix it quite quickly rather than having to invest a day at my station fault finding and ordering spares etc. It keeps me motivated to keep attempting repairs.

I've got one of these Vax Spotwasher cleaners, and I can verify that they are really good. Mine came from Argos for £100, and does a really great job of cleaning stains off carpets and upholstery. Great fix.

@@TD75 When he purchased 5 of our faulty products from our ebay store, I saw the name Vince, so I asked him if he is the KZreadr I am watching for Years! :) Keep an eye for the future videos, I am sure those products will be fixed as well. Due to the number of products we go through, we can't deal with faulty products, just sell them as it is rather then bin them. Glad someone can use them, as most of them are new / hardly used products, so it would be sad throwing them away.

I might have a small tip, on how to get those troublesome stains out of the carpet. If you can buy something called All purpouse cleaner from any car detailing shop, those types of products work wonderfully with very bad stains.

These are absolutely brilliant for cars. I spray the seats and carpet with auto smart g101 General cleaner then wash with this and they come up like new 😊😊

We’ve got a full size Vax, and it makes a big difference what with 2 staffs it brings the carpet up a treat. Nice fix Vince, you struck lucky there well done you 😊

Thank you for your video's Vince! I am in Canada and have been enjoying watching your channel for a while. Lately, I got "screwed" on a used plasma torch. $200 CDN tossed away on a thing that did not work (my bad, buyer beware). But, I used the "MyMateVince" proceedure to open it up and see if we can get it working....and I did, it was a simple manufacturing error (a wire was not properly crimped). I recrimped and the plasma torch is cutting steel like it should. I doubt if I would have got it going without your calm approach to repair. Keep the videos coming, and thank you for inspriring me to fix a bad deal!

That's the problem with spot cleaners; they show how dirty your carpet is, and then you need a full-size cleaner.

I think the people that care about spot cleaning, are the types that have a full size cleaner or pay for a cleaning. That or they have it for a pet.

Nice find and a fun fix! One thing that can really help these vacs is using hot water. I don't know if its going to be able to get that first stain out, but it does help.

Many modern carpets with stains can be removed with ammonia glass cleaner and light rubbing. (test on an inconspicuous spot first) The exact same formula is often sold as magic carpet cleaner or similar names but at an inflated price.

My friend gave me here Bissell spot cleaner , after she had it for a year , no power so i opened it and water got to the motor so i got another from ebay and it works like a dream

N ice work! But be warned, I’ve got one of these and from new the switch hasn’t been great - it’s temperamental, and needs a firm push to the “on” position. I opened mine up and verified it with continuity that was the switch. Works for now, but suspect I’ll need a replacement switch at some point with more use) It’s a great tool. You’ll get obsessed with the amount of grime it pulls up from carpets in the car, and any fabric car seats.

Nice with easy fixes sometimes! The dirty water after that tiny cleaning kind of make me wonder why carpeting are so common in some countrys, here in the nordic countries you only see lose carpets wich makes much more sense to me, less cleaning 🙂

Weve got one of those cleaners. Ours is a chargeup kind with a big battery. It works stupidly well. Lucky fix this time!

Yeah,we like it Vince,just be careful what you wish for etc ! 🤣i like easy fixes for me too,you get a good result in less time and something else that's not going in a landfill just because of a wire ! i'm not a KZreadr so i get the slightly longer videos are better for you (i can't be arsed being a KZreadr,too much work and aggravation for me ! i don't have the time for editing etc !

We have one of these. It's much easer to use a separate brush than scrub at a stain using the built-in one.

I had to use a similar device for the first time at my new job recently, it did an excellent job cleaning up poop on carpet :D

The spade terminal on that switch was bent and I reckon the previous owner bought the Vax, used it once, either didn't like it or had no intentions of keeping it and then it was cobbled by pulling the wire from the switch. Then back to Argos for a full refund.

I have one of these I need to look at, we bought it new and it has developed a leak, as soon as you plug the tank in it starts draining - likely an issue where that clear tube is on your video.

hi use to have a cleaning job getting marks of a carpit you got to be fast if one of yours drops something hand them the vac and say clean it up i had to down a club floor hell there was a lot worked in the the carpit have a can of the zero to make it cold and it break it up kid just don't understand things once you done any cleaning job's you see it from a new side

I found the Vax solution didn’t cut it for me, purchased the Rug Doctor version from Amazon and it made a vast improvement

Its possible that a customer pulled off the connection so they could return it as faulty, maybe after buying it for a one time job.

I immediately saw the issue as I saw the wire spade connector loose! It must have gotten knocked during shipping to the orgininal owner!

I'm going to try with mine later as I have the same issue, it doesn't turn in, I used it 3 times but I always had trouble in getting it started, today won't start at all.

Well done. Good to see that quality control is alive and well. 4 tugs in one video, complete with titter, pulling multiple legs.

Seller will be gutted. A little surprised the berry stain came out. Not surprised the makeup one didnt. Might be more oil based. Could try some actual makeup remover on a hidden sample of carpet to make sure there are no bad effects and if its ok then try it on the makeup stain and then use the carpet cleaner to clean up the makeup remover. All carpets will be that dirty, dust, shoes etc.

Did you get a talking to for pouring the filth into a sink where people will be washing their face or brushing their teeth by your spouse like I did for doing the same? :) Another great video. It is nice to have the blessing of easy fixes now and then.

I think it will just be the same as the bigger carpet cleaner, it is pretty much doing the same thing in a smaller form factor. I don't think I can take anymore never ending foam coming out of that boot carpet 😂

Give it a go it might surprise you.

I know of a fellow with a Rolls Royce that could have made good use of this a few months ago! The failure in this case was the cheap double-sided tape used to fix the suppressor to the side wall. Had they used foam tape, this may have absorbed the majority of the shock of the drop, and the weight of the suppressor falling would not have pulled the overtight switched live from the switch terminal. Skimpy manufacture, such a shame from a brand that always used to lead the field in Britain, Shame on you VAX.

Just got mine today and straight out the box the machine is leaking from the base on the clean side, the clean tank is fine and does not leak, but the machine does when the tank is installed. Is this normal?

It does, but I have been told that impact damage can also break them???? I think that was from the comments section in the bread maker video last Christmas.

Spray some carpet cleaner on the mark and then leave it for a couple of hours before you remove it

how exactly would that mini machine clean any carpet for real, i wonder. this is probably for people who never clean.. carpet water in the sink 👍

Just a word of warning: These washers are broken by design and anyone considering buying them needs to understand that the hose will get gunked up and cannot be cleaned without disassembling the machine almost entirely. Much like regular hoovers, good washer/cleaners have detachable hoses that can easily be cleaned or replaced.

That VAX spot cleaner certainly sucks!!

Would never buy anything with the name VAX on it. Brought a hoover once, it would get clogged picking up the smallest things. The pipe design was way too small. The bore of it. Terrible. Ended up burning out 2 motors in the space of a few months.

I'm 1:08 mins in and you have not checked the fuse in the plug!!!! Make up/Fake Tan!!! got loads of them marks on my carpet GRRRRR I spill something I get moaned at, need some spirit based cleaner on it maybe IPA. Lets be honest only pet owners & slobs need that machine lol

Yeah that was a schoolboy error, the fuse is normally the first thing I check. IPA may work, miracle stuff!!!!

Several things: I always test run it BEFORE putting it back together again. On this unit, the switch appears to slide into both sides, so you could have separated it more for easy access. I have a unit sort of like this, and I have resorted to taking like a pan, putting the soap and water into that, and pouring it directly on the stain, while running the vacuum, because the integrated squirter is pretty useless. The poured liquid goes directly onto the stain, and into the carpet, and is drawn into the vacuum in a U-shaped path, so the carpet is not soaked. VERY sad when someone could not pop the screws and locate the problem themselves.

Throw this at your Rolls carpet.

Can. l. Fix. A. Vax. Spot wash. Carpet cleaner from. eBay. With. No. Power

Oh dear! And the British love for wall-to-wall carpeting lives on. 🤢

We are receiving truck loads of customer returns every month from amazon, but I know, the big part of customer return got destroyed by amazon. I know this because I was working for them before.
