THANK YOU for putting Guy's score on the screen. I know you did last time because it was a match, but every time someone plays with Rick I'd love to see their score too, even if we only see a handful of their shots. Love the series, my favorite thing about Fridays!

Love watching this series Rick. Always save it for a point on the weekend when I can sit uninterrupted and enjoy it through. Smashing course and great play on the opening holes. We need some 'up and down sauce' if that keeps up! Keep em coming.
Love how at the end of the day Rick has the emotions of us ‘commoners’… Going from “ahh unlucky”, “ah it’s not my day”, “ahh RICK!”; immediately to: “I should get a plaque on this hole!” 🤣🤣 love it
The biggest problem with 'Break 75' is that you are, by definition, focusing on the outcome rather than the process. Every time you announce you "need a birdie, 3 birdies, an eagle, or a birdie-eagle finish", things go south. It happens to me too. If I think I need to birdie a hole to make up for the bogey on the previous hole, I invariably bogey that hole too. I'd like to see a 'Break 75' where you don't even talk about the score 'live' during the round but edit it in later. Just film a fun round of golf with Guy, talk about the course, the local area, the history, and let the score be the score. P.S. Wallasey is an awesome looking course. Would love to play there one day.

Just come home from Wallasey Golf Club walking round watching my 12 year old practise to see this video. Must say Rick you had it at its easiest with very little wind 😀. What a course a true links with spectacular holes and spectacular views.
Rick on hole 5: "If it's your day, it's your day" Rick on hole 14: "If it's not your day, it's not your day"
Probably the calmest I’ve seen Rick play, looked so relaxed and good to see him not loosing his head when a bogey creeps in 👏
I absolutely love the brake 75 series! Especially when you play with guy. + 10 is a phenomenal score! I just really like how you talk about the shots you are going to hit, and how you work it through in your head. Rick, you are awesomley great golfer!

I never knew that they don’t play Stableford in the States. It’s probably the most common club competition here in Australia. Speeds up play, encourages you to still go for birdies and better but doesn’t completely wipe out your round for one bad hole.

@@shaun34 I never thought about how it would speed up play but that is genius. Of course, you just pick up your ball if you don't make the bogey. Brilliant. I'm in Canada and we don't play it here either. I know of it but have never used it. Interesting stuff.

@@shaun34 That is so cool, me and my buddies have 2 groups going out this weekend perhaps we all give it a shot.
Loving the recent vids Rick, especially the break 75. I can’t help thinking so many of your problems stem from not finding fairways from the tee. You’re putting far to much pressure on second and third shots by continually having to play from out of the rough.
The links I've seen you play look so much nicer than any I've near me. The fairways are all flat, no contour or slopes and they look wedged into a spit of land. This course looks wonderful!
those first few holes were definitely some of the best golf i've seen you play Rick. I think you were relaxed and confident. Giant difference maker.

Shot 76 from tees at 6700 yards today inspired by you and the GG mash-up. Best round ever for me. Thanks Rick!
With the 'Stranger Things' theme going coupled with some hype from the podcast couple of weeks ago I genuinely was starting to think the eagle on the 18th was going to happen... looks a beauty of a course too. Slick editing on this vid and also a massive shout out to Mr Stableford.. has made my scorecards look OK even on the worse days.

I just picked up golf this past week and have been watching your tips videos religiously. I love watching these as well!
The PGA Tour dropped the only Stableford-scored tournament, The International, back in '06. It was played here in Castle Pines, CO, USA and was a blast to attend and watch. Wish they'd bring that back!
Love the energy being put into this series, and so happy to hear it is confirmed to be continuing. Awesome work.
Rick! So glad to hear that break 75 will continue! Absolutely love it and love seeing all the different courses! Keep up the awesome work!
Great video Rick. I live in Wisconsin, USA and play in two leagues a week that booth score using Stableford scoring. One uses gross score and the other using net score. Our state Golf Association uses Stableford for Senior tournaments during the year.. Two tourneys in one. Both and Gross and Net for the round. I really like the format. Guy needs his own channel so we can see his round as well. Keep up the great videos and podcasts.
Rick honestly that course looked stunning to play and a big thanks to Dr stableford for his golf format, I recently played a medal and captains day and took a 14 and an 11 on a par 5 9th hole of my local golf course courtown GC, to say card wreckers is an understatement plus the embarrassing title of highest score recorded on that hole only to birdie it twice next two weeks running, but do they remember the birdies! No, so thank you Dr stableford truly a lot to be said for scratching a hole.
Wow, what a course this is. I like it when you show the aiming points and the ball since it's not always clear on the video. Great as always, thanks to Guy who plays more like most of us!
Another enjoyable break75. Interesting to hear about Doctor Stableford, something to tell the lads over here in Australia where most of our games are that format.

guys the kind of man you want to play with, always giving you positive vibes and not putting you down. love that guys attitude man, seems a nice bloke aswell. top pair, you two are.
Rick, I think this, brea 75 is by far and away the best thing on your channel. Being a golfer who goes out with the break 75 mindset it's good to see the thought process you go through. However, this episode epitomises something that has plagued you for the last 2 years. When you play with Guy and Adam Scott you can see your tempo is slightly out, trying to blast it, and you invariably end up left. The wedges look so much better when you slow it down. It's something I'm working on too. Great looking course mind.
Love this series! When you're ready to take Break 75 international, we have some phenomenal courses in South Africa, especially on the south coast. Keep it up!
Cirlce ball tracer on that 3 wood out of the rough was great. Awesome editing by someone there on team Ricky
This channel has made me fall in love with the courses over there. Definitely different than the American courses but in a very charming way. It requires a different style of play that I truly appreciate
Love the new camera shot showing the flag/target with the ball flight outlined with a red circle. I’ve never seen a shot tracer view like that. Nice! Very nice! Gave a better shot vs shot tracer ball flight. It showed target line much better. Rick Shiels..... Tha man!!!!✊
Rick I’ve been watching you for years and have always wanted you to play Wallasey as it was the course I grew up playing as a kid. Massively under appreciated course but I guess I’m biased! This video has brought back so many memories of playing with my dad around there, playing in junior comps and loving every minute of it. Glad you’ve had the chance to go back and appreciate it for the course that it is, looks like you got lucky with the weather too. I’ve Been wanting to get back in to the game for so many years but money has stopped me due to the price of clubs being so high nowadays. After watching this I think it’s about time I start saving and hopefully in the next year I can get my hands on a cheap set. Until then I’ll just have to make do with your videos, keep up the good work!
Best video you’ve ever made PERIOD!!!
Pressure, pressure, pressure! I was hoping ol bluey would pull it out for you. You said ol bluey wasn’t the club to hit but you placed your tee shot in the rough. You paid your money, you played the club that you thought would be the best club. Enjoyed the round Rick, hope you did also!

Rick, must say all I needed to see was that chip on the first hole to know your back, didn't matter what you shot, only way to consistently shoot better scores is short game, great to see you choosing the confident shot again!! takes a lot after all the criticism id say you got from taking putter out at every opportunity, bring on more of this entertainment!!!
Love seeing my local course on here (not a member but have family who are). You got it on a great day to show it off in all it'd glory!! Well played both.
Love these videos with the man Charnock. Great combination. Great entertainment. Thanks Rick. Love the content.
I have only watched the front 9 so far, but this is already a perfect example of how important short game is. Rick made very few greens, hit very few fairways, found himself in bunkers, was hooking his irons, but because of his wedge and putter play, he got out of the front only +2. I can be playing way better, hitting fairways, most greens, etc, but my putting and chipping leads me to getting at least +5 on the front. this tells me and maybe you also that I need to work on my short game, it is the most important thing in golf
You’ve upped your wedge game mate, very nice. Break 75 all year is brilliant for the full 18 hole warts and all content 🎉🎉
