Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This KZread channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.
If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

The biggest problem with 'Break 75' is that you are, by definition, focusing on the outcome rather than the process. Every time you announce you "need a birdie, 3 birdies, an eagle, or a birdie-eagle finish", things go south. It happens to me too. If I think I need to birdie a hole to make up for the bogey on the previous hole, I invariably bogey that hole too. I'd like to see a 'Break 75' where you don't even talk about the score 'live' during the round but edit it in later. Just film a fun round of golf with Guy, talk about the course, the local area, the history, and let the score be the score. P.S. Wallasey is an awesome looking course. Would love to play there one day.

Great video Rick. I live in Wisconsin, USA and play in two leagues a week that booth score using Stableford scoring. One uses gross score and the other using net score. Our state Golf Association uses Stableford for Senior tournaments during the year.. Two tourneys in one. Both and Gross and Net for the round. I really like the format. Guy needs his own channel so we can see his round as well. Keep up the great videos and podcasts.

Rick honestly that course looked stunning to play and a big thanks to Dr stableford for his golf format, I recently played a medal and captains day and took a 14 and an 11 on a par 5 9th hole of my local golf course courtown GC, to say card wreckers is an understatement plus the embarrassing title of highest score recorded on that hole only to birdie it twice next two weeks running, but do they remember the birdies! No, so thank you Dr stableford truly a lot to be said for scratching a hole.

Wow, what a course this is. I like it when you show the aiming points and the ball since it's not always clear on the video. Great as always, thanks to Guy who plays more like most of us!

Rick, I think this, brea 75 is by far and away the best thing on your channel. Being a golfer who goes out with the break 75 mindset it's good to see the thought process you go through. However, this episode epitomises something that has plagued you for the last 2 years. When you play with Guy and Adam Scott you can see your tempo is slightly out, trying to blast it, and you invariably end up left. The wedges look so much better when you slow it down. It's something I'm working on too. Great looking course mind.

Love the new camera shot showing the flag/target with the ball flight outlined with a red circle. I’ve never seen a shot tracer view like that. Nice! Very nice! Gave a better shot vs shot tracer ball flight. It showed target line much better. Rick Shiels..... Tha man!!!!✊

Rick I’ve been watching you for years and have always wanted you to play Wallasey as it was the course I grew up playing as a kid. Massively under appreciated course but I guess I’m biased! This video has brought back so many memories of playing with my dad around there, playing in junior comps and loving every minute of it. Glad you’ve had the chance to go back and appreciate it for the course that it is, looks like you got lucky with the weather too. I’ve Been wanting to get back in to the game for so many years but money has stopped me due to the price of clubs being so high nowadays. After watching this I think it’s about time I start saving and hopefully in the next year I can get my hands on a cheap set. Until then I’ll just have to make do with your videos, keep up the good work!

Pressure, pressure, pressure! I was hoping ol bluey would pull it out for you. You said ol bluey wasn’t the club to hit but you placed your tee shot in the rough. You paid your money, you played the club that you thought would be the best club. Enjoyed the round Rick, hope you did also!

Rick, must say all I needed to see was that chip on the first hole to know your back, didn't matter what you shot, only way to consistently shoot better scores is short game, great to see you choosing the confident shot again!! takes a lot after all the criticism id say you got from taking putter out at every opportunity, bring on more of this entertainment!!!

I have only watched the front 9 so far, but this is already a perfect example of how important short game is. Rick made very few greens, hit very few fairways, found himself in bunkers, was hooking his irons, but because of his wedge and putter play, he got out of the front only +2. I can be playing way better, hitting fairways, most greens, etc, but my putting and chipping leads me to getting at least +5 on the front. this tells me and maybe you also that I need to work on my short game, it is the most important thing in golf
