Calroy's betrayal is perfect. We're led to think he's good, due to his likeable veneer, but that makes his betrayal more shocking. Then, we look at the clues that we missed the first time around. Hindsight is 20/20.

A count can coup but a king can counter-coup. It isn't cuckoo to imagine a king's coup could overcoup a count's coup if the king decide to. We call this parkour coup.

The king *can* actually coup. Theres a special word-autocoup- for when the guy in power performs a coup on his own government.

Not enough people talking about how Brennan is shown as DM looking in through the castle windows like it's a dollhouse, perfect visualisation.

the emotional devastation of this season paired with the absolute chicanery is some of the best whiplash i've ever experienced. and it turns out a Count Can Coup after all (or at least try)

Lou's delivery of the "Aaaah you got ME doin' it" is really spot on, and he had the hand-wavies in the episode too iirc

Conspiring covertly, the calculating count and the crafty queen can craftily coordinate a clandestine coup, cunningly conspiring against the crowned king in a complex, convoluted conspiracy. The crafty count and the cunning queen can indeed be in cahoots, concocting a covert coup to conclusively conquer the crowned king’s castle and crown.

The real question that remains is: If a count can coup but a king can’t do a true coup, what can the count do that the king can’t do that would make the count’s coup true?

Coups can do based on who. Kenku can coup but not the king Kenku. Count kenku can coup, queen kenku can kind of coup, king kenku can coup if the predominant ruling system is a nominal monarchy and they are overthrowing a system, because that's deposing the ruling poweroo.

1 little oversight that didn't need to be pointed out: Calroy is a Baron, not even a Count.
