NerestroNL I think that's the way the algorithm works.. It is divided in two neural networks, one that generates the comments, and another one that tells if the comment is human or ai,and if it is ai it improves until it can't recognize no more. Both neural networks improve, and it's faster and more accurate. But I'm not sure if he was using this algorithm.

You'd obviously get much better results if you fed better data into the network. Feeding character by character means the network needs to learn what combination of characters even is an actual word. If you fed in entire words it would be more about constructing a sentence out of those words. If you asked any human person "can you replicate youtube comments?" they would think about replicating the grammatical structure and message that commonly appears in a youtube comment and using words rather than characters as basic building blocks would put much more focus on the correct question. By extension, you can extrapolate your choice of feeding in characters further to see the problem more clearly: imagine instead feeding the screenshot of a youtube comment into an image recognition network - it would first have to learn what kind of line shapes even form valid glyphs and this would remove it even farther from the actual question you are asking.

A rule of thumb is to use whichever word that would sound right if you took out the other person from the sentence. So "Today is (Michael's and) my birthday" rather than "Today is (Michael's and) me's birthday"

youtube feature idea: include an option for a second audio track for music so you can turn it off if you want to listen to your own music. AND if you use copywritten music and get striked then it doesnt mute the ENTIRE video just the audio track.

People dont understand what this program is trying to do, all its trying to do is copy the input log word by word. Given an infinite time both input and output will have the exact same wording. What you're doing is basically looking at the results before is gets a chance to do this and thus what the A.I has made looks like is creative and intellegent, but in reality just has word bites wrongly arranged and not fully completed, compared to the input.

First of all, sorry for wrongly using the word cross-validation. That is the term for regression problems, I just realised that this will not be the same. But the overall concept is the same: What you describe is the following: (correct me if I'm wrong) In one generation, all the different versions of the neural​ net are evaluated by comparing their output comments to the input human comments. The version of the neural network that can create comments that are the most similar to the input comments gets the highest score and is deemed the best. This leads indeed to a program that is trying to perfectly recreate its input comment. This is called overfitting You can overcome that problem by splitting the dataset. For example: if 1000 human comments are available, 750 comments will be fed to the neural network as input and the neural nets create comments. These computer generated comments are compared to the remaining 250 human comments that the neural network does not know about. This way, the program that replicates the input comments fails horribly when compared to the 250 new comments and only the neural networks that can "predict" what an unknown comment looks like is deemed good.

Ok but if your "splitting the dataset" method has a score still determined by closeness to the original input (1000 comments) even though you're inputting only 750 comments, won't it still converge to the exact wording given enough time.

Good point.. when given enough time, than indeed overfitting on the validation data set will occur. And given infinite time, eventually the output will resemble the validation data set too much and lose its predictive power. Cross-validation helps with this problem but does not solve it (I looked it up and it is used in predictive moddeling as well. Wikipedia explains it better then I can) Overfitting might indeed be inevitable given enough time. I have no personal experience with neural networks (only in classical data-analysis and regressions), so I can't say for sure.

Ok but you know those people on the comments whose thought process leaves you wheezing so hard you get a nosebleed.

And then write an AI, that tries to prove if a comment is from the AI or a Human, and give some of the Data to the Generator AI to Improve it lol

Wwhat you just described is called a GAN and is used commonly for generating images such as faces.

How did you factor in replies? Were they stored as multiple comments but with some kind of identifier or was the context lost in almost all replies? I personally would have just tried to filter them out because incorporating adequate context seems too complex for an AI already struggling. Still impressive and better than what I've got so far!
