    Agreed this can absolutely be a daily rider but you need to be mindful of maintenance just like you said, and yes unfortunately have money to do it. You can time the intervals of Desmo and annual to get the best value - 5000 per year for oil + 3 years to Desmo (or 7500 per year like me in 2 years to Desmo lol) Suspension 💯 - pikes peak v4 with the active suspension is so much better on garbage roads versus manual suspension set for track. Good video Chris!

    I don't mind the rosso tires, but I prefer my sc v3/v4 tires more. The grip level is noticeable to me.

    Maybe in time, it'll be a bit until I need to do that though. If the dealership happens to do one I might try to get them doing it

    @CaliMotoTV British term mate lol, daily hack is a bike you'd ride every day. If I'm well behaved on my streetfighter V4, I might get just over 90 miles before the fuel light comes on, rear tyre £250 in the UK. That's why you need deep pockets full of cash

    For a commute with lane splitting, sure. Tank is big enough to get you there and back and riding position isn't too bad if you're not doing too much stopping. Sport bikes can make good commuters but obviously not the best tourers. Anything over an hour is stretching the use case potential in my experience.

    I have a 22 s1krr and I have taken that bike 500 plus miles in a day touring through multiple states... albeit I did have a buddy with a goldwing to hold clothing etc.. I am purchasing a V4S next week... I appreciate this video tremendously... my biggest concern was initially lack of cruise and gas gauge... I was going to get rid of my s1krr... though I'm going to just keep it as well.

    how does the V4R compare to V4S for street riding, ie: canyons? Is it worth the 15K to get the V4R?

  • @CaliMotoTV

    @CaliMotoTV

    Very different bikes for sure. If you don't plan on tracking at all or very little get the v4s. It is better suited for the streets. The V4R will be crazy good on canyons, but the electronic suspension on the v4s is more versatile for the street.

    @KunKhmer978 if you go with a 2020 or newer yes. The 2018-19 v4 was a bit choppy. I've owned an 1199, 1299, v4, and the v4r. The v4 you'll find is much more refined and the power delivery much much smoother than the 1199. It is wider than the 1199.
