I ordered one last month and waiting for it to arrive any day... Honestly, this is one of those amps that I’ve wanted for years. My buddy has the Wangs #1987 and good grief is it amazing, but that’ll be my next amp after receiving the #2204. Excellent video (as usual) and thanks for bringing us these kinds of videos! Best! ✌🏼

I received mine about a month ago, along with the Wangs 1x12 cab and FFS is it glorious! Always wanted the Marshall tone at a great price and this delivers and more. Killer amp! 🔥🔥🔥 Best! ✌🏼

@@anthonybelladonna5675 dare I say that it’s better than when it arrived?!!! It’s true though! The amps cab/speaker have “loosened up” quite a bit and the sound is just terrific! Couldn’t ask for a.better amp for the price! And being that it’s hand-wired makes it that much more serviceable, should it ever need it… AND takes pedals like a champ on the lo-gain input. WOW!!! All in all, I’m happy with my purchase. I do have some other amps from another MFG. on the way, but that’s another story. (Ceriatone🔥) I think I’m going to start my own channel soon too, as I’ve been collecting gear for 45yrs and have a TON of gear. Maybe it’s my time? We shall see… If your on the fence about the Wangs, don’t be! They are FANTASTIC amps for the money and you can’t go wrong with any of them! You won’t be sorry… Promise!!! Best! ✌🏼

I would love to compare to the Marshall JCM800 mini-head. I still haven't bit the bullet and bought a vintage British amp yet. I am mostly interested in low wattage heads but I would totally go for this for the price.

Turns out this amp shoots WAY above it's price point! It also reminds me a bit of my Freidman small box 50. This amp is a smoking deal that sounds far better than my previous #2204. No brainer here folks!!! 🔥🔥🔥 You won't be sorry... ✌🏼

Dollar for dollar, tbis amp SMOKES Marshalls, especially for this price. $821 delivered to my door and took 21 days for it to be built and shipped $350 for the 1x12 cab too. I have one Wangs VT-50H with a Marshall JMP-1, cheapest JCM substitute. Tried it the other day with an OLD ADA MP-1 the roar was amazing

I've owned one of these for about 4 years. Still blown away I could get this sound for under 1k. I had one of the Chinese Marshall tube amps of around the same price range and it doesn't compare. This Amp hits closer to the quality of the British made Marshall amps.

Jon, what “load box” are you using to load your IR’s? I’m thinking it’s either a Captor X, or an Ox box? I just ordered the Captor X. Great video and I’m luv’n my Wangs 2204 too! Best! ✌🏼

What an amp you got there

Man that thing sounds awesome. I do kinda wish it had an effects loop but how can you complain. A hand wired 50 watt amp for that price is incredible. Would be cool to hear it compared to your Marshall Studio Classic.

It's a hand-wired amp. Adding an effects loop is elementary for a qualified tech.

Looks like a nice mod platform.

What do you think about the Wangs speaker cabs? Probably, the1x12. Good match with this amp? Thanks for any info.

My Wangs 2204 is the same way. The low channel is much more quieter compared to the high input.

How does it compare to the Marshall 20w jcm800 head....I assume same tones but more wattage ?

Which brand tubes arrived in yours? I haven’t opened mine yet, but heard from the USA affiliate guy at Wang’s that they were solid tubes…? Hmm… I’m gonna have too pull my chassis tonite (that sounded weird) but, I’m doing it! lol Best!

@@Stashmanfpv I don't know what tubes it came with. I bought it used. I have a ton of gear that needs service. If I can ever get around to replacing them I'll probably go with Mullards. I have Mullards in my Panama and they work great. Regardless of tube quality, these are incredible amplifiers. I would never part with this amp. It just smokes. It's a great amp.

How does it compare to the Marshall SC20 ?

Well made video, in terms of organization. But trying to decipher what that amp really sounds like when its mixed in with all of those other tracks is virtually impossible.

If that is true, than guitar tones wouldn't matter at all

I can't imagine buying a Chinese clone that's hardly cheaper. Maybe if you really hate the Marshall brand but love the tone?

These are great amps as long as you change out the crappy stock tube sockets which are prone to failure.

Purist build. Many of the amps purists use have no FX loop They don’t want loops for several reasons. But it was on purpose to fulfill a Certain need

@@wangsamps even Marshall put a loop in the 800 reissue series... and include a bypass switch if anyone need it. The majority of amp owners want an effects loop... period. This is preventing folks from purchasing this... trust me. Most people mod their old 800 's by putting a loop.

@@BillVerdon Yes, we have many amps for those folks 50w HW is specific build theory known as an honorable build. The shortest most direct circuit path. A loop would negate this build theory and purists would not be interested. Remember, the most sought after vintage style amps have no loop for a reason. Signal integrity

@@Sticky_Tea yeah there’s certainly a divide on the importance of FX loops, but it’s absolutely a feature I need an amp to have. It tends to be players who use their drive from pedals rather than amp preamp that don’t mind an amp with no FX loop, but that’s not for me.

What excactly does "heavily inspired" mean? Stupid term don'tcha think? Kinda like "for the price or for it's age".
