TRANSCRIPT:
Welcome Welcome to Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. Located in White Plains, New York, just north of Manhattan.
Students are able to attend class, study, and socialize on our spacious campus, which we will now show you.
We begin in Preston Hall, which houses our Office of Admissions, faculty offices, and our renowned John Jay Services Legal Clinic, a keystone part of Pace's experiential practice space learning opportunities.
Hey, Sid.
Hey!
On the first floor of Preston, we have our student lounge. The student lounge is one of many places students use when they're not in class. Hey Sid, do you want to go show them the tutor room?
Sure. We are in the tutor room. The primary site of on campus events held throughout the year. Which includes speaking engagements, screenings, fairs, and networking receptions. Many of these events are organized by the student body in connection with the over two dozen student organizations that are active on campus.
As we make our way through Preston and into Ottinger Hall, you will notice that the buildings are connected, which is especially convenient during rain and the colder months. Our dining halls open Monday through Saturday. Thank you, Wade. And offers buffet items as well as grab and go. Meal plans are mandatory for students who live on campus and optional for our commuters. Options for those with dietary restrictions are available for the students who need them.
Ottinger Hall houses five classrooms. Our small class sizes foster an environment of collaboration. Our incoming fall class is divided into three sections of about 65 students in each, and our upper level classes have approximately 30 students in each. Our classes are conducted Socratically, which means that professors engage in conversation with the students rather than delivering a traditional lecture.
Next, Aloysia Hall contains the campus bookstore, where you can buy or rent textbooks, stock up on essentials, and buy plenty of campus swag. Aloysia is also home to many of the service offices you may have use of as a student, including the registrar, bursar, academic success, financial aid, student services, career development, and IT.
Haub Law is proud to offer students the option to live on campus in Dannat Hall, which houses just over 100 students and for student safety requires card swipe to enter.
All rooms are single occupancy and come fully furnished. Dannat also features a community gym, kitchen, rec room, and laundry room. Students choosing to live off campus have many opportunities to choose from in the surrounding White Plains area as well as neighboring towns.
Finally, we arrived at the Gerber Glass Building, home of our Moot Courtroom and our Law Library. Our reference librarians are available during the week and on weekends to help students conduct research. In addition to the resources available in the library, all students receive access to all of the major online database, both on and off campus. WiFi is available throughout the campus.
Thank you for touring the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University.
Please reach out to the Office of Admissions for more information. We hope to see you soon!
