I'd have to agree with you on that. Only engine that sounds better is a big block in my opinion.

The timing in the cam order is different in the LS1, that's why it sounds different I believe

@Juansolo_ the LT1 is a gen 2 smallblock. Basically a redesign of the original smallblock.

I am not a very big fan on how these 4th gen f bodies look but for the money you can’t beat the horsepower per dollar of these pre ls1 z28s 275-280 horsepower and a T56 6 speed straight out of the box the downsides are the engine bay is smaller than that of the 3rd gen f bodies and the lt1 doesn’t interchange parts with the gen 1 L98 sbc which means those literal decades of performance parts won’t work on this engine so you have to choose from a much smaller limited aftermarket tbh down the road on the main road passing by town there’s a green z28 just sitting there I am talking about a town here over here🇵🇷 called San Sebastián if you know you know 🤷🏽‍♂️

I'm glad you went with Brandon Strong. He's got some amazing tuning abilities and I hope to one day get where your at with my LT1 formula 6 speed. How did you like the Speed Engineering headers?

Thanks. I love the headers, they fit perfect and look great. I'm a big fan of speed engineering products. I'm also running their true dual exhaust (with slight modification), adjustable lower control arms and relocation brackets and adjustable panhard rod and relocation kit. I'm waiting on the adjustable tunnel mount torque arm and weld in sub frame connectors to get here.

@@StickShiftMuscle I'm not really sure how much power I'm making. I need to finish the tune and get on the dyno after I'm done building the trans. This is more of a street car, I still have ac, cruise control, abs, and full weight. I'd be thrilled to be in the 11s. I also plan on putting a 100 shot of nitrous on it.

@@mr_steve_g my formula has the bare bones package where it didn't have any options at all and I love it. I'm not gonna gut anything. Just want enough power to hang with my cousins 392 challenger. I do love my formula hardtop, crank windows, M6, no trac or cruise control. Reminds me of my C3 corvette I have.

JMS 17x4.5 front 15x10 rear. Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R Radial 27X6R17LT front, Mickey Thompson drag radials 325 50 r15 rear

What are you revving this cam to? Tick website says makes peak power at 6600. That seems a bit high for a stock bottom end

I've got my rev limiter set at 6800 and have hit it several times. The car sees 6700+ all the time with no issues so far. Yes, a bit high for a stock bottom end. We'll see how long it lasts.

Sounds great! I was going to get the speed engineering true daul exhaust but decided to go with SLP loudmouth instead.

Any 11 sec lt1 on the streets not strip with stock converter and maybe 3.23 or 2.56 rear end gears without the huge tires? Any build to recommend?

Well, I wouldn't use the stock converter or either of those gears but, the 3.23 would be better than the 2.56. Beef up the transmission and get a good converter. Either work the stock heads or get a good set of aftermarket ones. Port match the intake. Throttlebody, injectors, cam, exhaust, a good tune and maybe some nitrous.

@@mr_steve_g i want NA engine no nitrous. I live in the mountains so a low stall or stock converter is a must for overheat. Just need to know if somebody has done it and knows what is needed.

Im building a lt4 camaro .60 over forged bottom end and procharger bitch is going to haul ass but I don’t have the stock rearend I got the quick performance rearend and the 4.10 gear is peefect

No times yet, I've been tuning and trying to dial in the suspension. Pretty sure I destroyed the forward sprag in the trans last week so I have to take care of that. Local track closes for the winter soon and I'll probably have to wait till next season to get some numbers. I'm guessing low 11s

@@tuckerprestridge559 yeah, stock bottom end and stock 10 bolt for now. I'm going with a quick performance 9 inch though. Just waiting on the 10 bolt to blow up first, which shouldn't be long. I'm also building another lt engine that will be forced induction and nitrous. I built this one just to get the car moving.
