We've been seeing this problem a lot with our 2019+ Camaro customers! We were briefly stuck on how to resolve this, but your video was a huge help finding the solution. We sell resistors and have used it for similar finicky vehicles, it was just so odd initially that suddenly newer Camaro's have this issue? I'm just happy it's an affordable and easy fix to get better and safe lighting

I just installed some diffuser lights, and a really good tip for not removing the bumper is to follow the wire into the trunk and splice it there. Much more room to work with, and it keeps your connections inside the car and weather tight.

Great video brother and nice looking Camaro. Love that blue! So you were able to get to the main harness of the taillight from under the car? Many have said that you need to remove the bumper (which I really would hate to do if I don't have to) and remove the taillights to get to the harness. I am considering using a harness pigtail from Gen5diy to avoid T-tapping the existing harness.

Next time Maybe put the flashers on the bottom side of the harness might alleviate the issues of no space

I missed or didnt see any wire splicing/cutting??? I am not about cutting up wires or soldering.

Resistors wont work. Tried this and the LEDs work when the car is off but only 15% of the time when its running. I think soldered bulbs woth built in resistors are much better option because once your lines are spliced if they dont work, you gotta replace the whole frign harness from behind bumper both sides and so this will be a 300 dollar job not 50 😔

I did it to my 23 Camaro a week ago and my problem is that sometime my backup lights won’t turn on and sometimes they do. What could be the problem?

Crappy bulbs and or bad resistors, to weak. I did same and have same issues. Just not worth the hassel imho. Now I gotta get a who new set of harnesses $150 from GM because the lines are spliced, theres no fix for that.

I will point out. The sylvania - load equalizer resistor is design for turn signals when they go hyperflash, not for brake lights except parking light, brake light, and turn signal function is needed. But if it’s separate for parking light,braking light, and turn signal is separate, than u still need the load equalizer resistor for the turn signals themselves. For reverse light u don’t needed. Unless ur computer pops up error: than maybe u do. But in general u don’t need it for turn signals with resistors.

only two ten mils in the trunk behind the covers and you could of just pulled the taillight out much easier takes all of 3 minutes

I think that's on the previous tail lights only not the refresh. what year did you do that with? because that's how I did my 2016 ss but wasnt able to do it on the new 22

Not going to pierce my wires on a 75000 $ dollar car !!!!! Looks good but I don't drive backwards much !!!!!!!! I have 23 zl1 put license plate led I'm done .

Lmao you're piercing wires not cutting them i did it to my zl1 1le 💀 its just a Camaro, now I would deff think twice before doing it on my R8
