Caliber Collision is the Worst

Ойын-сауық

Today it's all about getting you to pay quick. Progressive paid for rear work that is terrible. I paid for new windshield, $475, overpaid just to get it done. I went back and got the run-around. I called and got more BS. Then I sent an employee with the Van and they got nowhere. My fault though. Two people told me not to go there. I'm hard-headed and got what I deserved. Be calling Progressive...they need to know they partnered with a bad team.

I own a collision repair shop. I'm the one and only employee. Therefore, I'm in complete and total control of quality. I'm always busy despite insurance companies (like Progressive) trying to steer customers to cut rate shops to save a few bucks on their end. People come to me because they know I'll be the only one touching it.

It's the same up here in Canada. Whenever I get great service I always make a point of calling them later and speaking to a manager or letting them know right there that I have received exceptional service. Why? Because it's so rare and I want to incentivize people. It's very true, the west is collapsing, and this is just another symptom.

I live in Germany, and we have some of the most stringent laws when it comes to that kind of stuff. I am a car painter, and if we can't get the car as good as OEM, it is totaled. We are not allowed to put hardly any body filler on the car, only where the metal is welded together. I had a crash, and the other car made my tire dirty-no scratches, just dirt-and they replaced the tire. I had a little quarter-size dent in the fender, got a new OEM fender, and the bumper had a scratch. I got a new OEM bumper. Needless to say, I just fixed it myself and pocketed the money. In Germany, if a shop does a shit job like that, they lose the contract to do insurance work. It stinks that people get away with crap like that in America; it hasn't always been like that. Anyway, Jason, let me stop throwing salt in the wound and tell you that I have been binge-watching all of your videos for the past 6 months, and I have a whole new outlook on life. Thanks, and sorry about the van. We don't have anything in German like what you guys have on KZread in America.

Here in Au its a lot worse, there are no niche skilled trades anymore here. Universities offer only a fraction of the courses they used to and people are turning into consumers with their only skill being a narcissist on social media. Hooray for humanity... 😮

I got out of caliber because the money got funny. Then that's where I seen calibers popping up like chick fila or jack in the box all over the place. Fast forward to the past 5 or 10 year's everything in those companies has gone down from the quality repair to the customer service has all gone down the gutter. I hear about it because nowadays I run and own my own business doing refinishing and body work. So I'm seeing what going on . good luck buddy hopefully you can find someone honest to fix it.

Jason, I have had GREAT results from Joe Hudson, in Tomball. I take mom's car there, often! 😂 (Three times for body work since 2018) Always very pleased with the results and the CS. 🙌

sweet van dude! my mom brought her car to caliber collision a few years ago for a quick brake job. they ended smashing into the loading dock and destroyed the front passenger side. they told her that HER insurance should pay for it. needless to say, i went there and straightened them out and their insurance paid for all of it, but it was a nightmare. dont ever go there, they are shady af.

This is one of the BEST uses of the internet, Jason! 🎉💪 I love 🗣💬🔊calling out crap service and bad businesses out...I do it in person face to face wherever there is the need! I don't like putting my face and life online, but if I did, that's how I would be of real service....showing the world where the thieves, scammers and greedy business owners are who hire apathetic lazy workers for lower pay!! scale. Everyone making videos should do this and help raise the bar of work ethics and service quality for our country bc it is in dire straits!

Every body complaining about bad customer service, and I agree that people should make an effort, but people have given up. Making 15 dollars an hour if they get that, doesn't even buy someone a week of groceries. Remember that next time someone is waiting on you. We can thank our government for high housing, food, healthcare etc. but there is no excuse for a business to get paid by an insurance company and you get your vehicle back looking like that. Wow I hope they make it right Jason!!

It's around 45$ each day grocery shopping for a family of 4. Of course, this is to make a worthwhile meal, actually cook something which is what me and the family do. I work 2 jobs, wife 1. We are making it, but like most all peasants here, we are paycheck to paycheck. Actually considered subbing to one of those fresh home delivery meal plans. May make out better or the same.

I have a Ford Expedition that was gifted to me. I normally go Japanese. Until recently when I heard Ford I would think of the old saying fix or repair daily. To turn that around, in my mind I now think freedom over repairs & damages.

I wonder how many offers you have gotten from Mom and Pop auto repair shops to fix your baby?Or non corporate auto body shops? Or referrals from satisfied customers? When you turn on the light the darkness disappears.

When I was living in Huntington Beach, CA I got ripped off by a mechanic. I went home and made signs saying that shop was a thief POS and to not support them. The HB police didn't go after the thief but instead me for standing outside his shop with my sign for all drivers by could see. That was my wake up call that the cops are there to protect businesses not the public they steal from.

when the business grows and gets a name, their service quality drops... same with restaurants that go out of their way to make a great experience for customers when business first opens, then after few weeks, the service/quality stops.

Yes--many lazy workers! I called a plumber who I have a year contract with to fix my air gap to the dishwasher. The worker didn't know how to fix it and told me I needed a new air gap because it was cracked. He said if he replaced the part it it would cost me a bundle so he told me how to fix it. To make matters worse, he gave me his card and with a wink in his eye, he said to call him if I needed help. Yuke! So, I replaced the air gap myself with a new one and found the problem was the line from the air gap to the garbage disposal half clogged; just needed to be cleaned! I cleaned the line and fixed as much as I could, but still needed help reattaching the hoses tightly and ended up calling another plumber who I have used in the past...they charged me $135 to just tighten up the lines. Ugh! Anyway, plumber 2 was nice and did a good job.

Thx man ive seen them down in FL. Must be a National franchise, run fast and far. Probably owned by an insurance company. I used to be involved in that industry, I can tell you this, a good shop / advisor tells the insurance adjusters how it’s done. Poor shops are scared of the adjusters and try to scam like what the insurance writes is some form of gift. F them ill triple that adjuster estimate every time, get paid fast and be thanked for it.

I took my car into collision pros in chico, California. Some woman rear ended me, she admitted to texting and driving and that her brakes were bad. They had my car for a week. The day they said my car was done it was raining of course. I pick it up. Take it home, and pull into the garage. Start wiping the water off. The car had overspray all over the whole thing. They left it in the warehouse, and some worker went and painted their car or whatever over the weekend for a personal project. I had red paint all over my car. My paint was in excellent condition. I should of sued them. I spent hours clay baring the crap off. Even the glass felt like it was sand blasted. Then I had some recalls done on my truck through chuck pattersons in chico, California, and they dented, chipped, and by the right bumper it looked like they were trying to pry the headlight off with a flat head screw driver. The damage was so bad that they used some globbed on touch up paint. I complained to them about it, and they said you don’t have proof we did anything to your vehicle. Why would I make that up? It’s infuriating. I grew up so dirt poor, and anything I have I take excellent care of, because A freaking car isn’t cheap.
