What a clean chevy, thats how you take care of a classic van

Old chevy vans are so cool might very well be my next project had one in high school it was 71 model had a ton of fun parked in cow paster partying with 3 or 4 friends drinking and playing quarters. Memories graduated in 1982 miss it dearly.

Your van is one of the best looking I've ever seen. Simple understated elegance, and then then you open the doors it blows you away!

I've wanted a van like this since I was a little kid in the 70's when they were all the rage. I'd want one with a clutch, with a high stick shifter with a cue ball for the shift handle.....and definitely a mural of wild mustangs on the back or on the side panels, lots of shag carpeting, and front seats that rotate to the back:-). Great van, I love this...really takes me back to when i was a kid.

Great van, you've done a lot of work on it. I have a short wheel base also, 1978 on it's third engine a 350 with a Holly, I had a lot of trouble with Rochester. Has the 3 speed manual I use it for work so it doesn't look anything like that but I've had it for thirty years, manual everything. No computers, they are immortal!

Love what you did with the rear doors. Engine box is cool. 454👏👏 The best part for me about Joe's Van. "I had a friend". Like a true stow away.

I loved the catalog back in the 90s . The web site doesn’t seem to have no van parts anymore...

The van looks great. I thought about making my rear door parted just like what you did. That is COOL! Thnx for sharing. 'Keep~On~A~Rockin'~N~A~Rollin' ';)

11:12 I don't think that I've every heard a happier sounding big block. The engine just sounds comfortable, if you listen to it on a good stereo system.

Love the hood scoop & side pipes and of course the 454 !

strange because the shorty vans couldnt use the oem g20/30 33 gallon so that tank is definitely custom

Ha.. I put an aluminum wing on my 2018 Promaster city and love the look. My wing is so sturdy I use it and an aluminum wind deflector as roof rack.

Awesome! I'm 49 so I missed the van era but did grow up in the 70s and remember them. I was just too young to drive. I got a 1998 1500 Express conversion van. I'm going to look at a 71 Chevrolet G series today, V6 manual three on the tree. I hope it meets my expectations. Any idea if a grill from a 76 Chevy pickup will fit a 71 G series? Reason being I have a grill from my father's truck that's been in his barn for over 40 years. i thought it might look good on it. Is the factory 71 G series grill aluminum? The one on this van is painted white. I could just polish it.

My 1979 had a 350 and turbo 350 i got 16 mpg on the highway my neighbor bought a short wheelbase inline 6 and 3 on the tree he bought it for fuel milage he thought ,his got 14 mpg but took him forever to get anywhere lol NICE VAN THOUGH

Beef up rear suspension of the van. put a bulkhead in right behind front seats. CUT THE ROOF OFF the rear portion of the vehicle to the bottom of the windows and rhino line the crap out of it. Basically turning the minivan into a pickup truck. you get to keep the comfort and climate control of the minivan as well as the fuel economy and cheap maintenance. And you get the benefits of a pickup truck at least most of them.

& i want an electric automatized driving not noisy Chevy van like that (but some saints row 4 tunning & a white color would be better) for the travel, and to move later
