Also, can we take a second to talk about the Calianna makeup and just basic costume? I would love to see a full costume one day. Holy crap it’s just so good!

I use the very same fangs for my Halloween escapades into the vampire world, and I fully agree they're fantastic. One bit of advice I can add is using a contact lenses case to differentiate between your "left" and "right" fang - this way it's much easier and faster to pop them onto your teeth without having to check which is which

holy shit, this is BRILLIANT.

A small point about the fang carrying case: Once the molding putty is dry it's super easy to pull it out in one or two big chunks. I've owned several pairs of scarecrow fangs and always did my mixing and storage both in the carrying case. Also I sometimes need an extra drop of the liquid, but ymmv

That last pun alone deserves a Like!

as someone who's only recently gotten into cosplay, I'm very happy I've found you for all your tips

I love these fangs, I've had a pair for four years and they're still going strong! That's a really neat little case tip too - I actually use a contact lens case for mine, because that way you have an easy right and left, and because I used that lil container to mix my goop up in 😆

i made up an immortal race called Blargians. They have horizontal eyes: one tear duct at the top and one at the bottom; pitch-white skin; a rainbow variety of eye and hair colors and no noses or eyes. Someone can use them in their D&D game if they want.

This was wonderful!! I have a pair of fangs I molded the day of a con when I was 15 and did NOT do them correctly. I'm not sure if they're salvageable (I had the thermoplastic type) but I do have a new pair from a friend I could try out instead. Also I love love LOVE your videos!! You're honestly one of my favorite cosplayers (if not,, my fav) and living my dream. I'm a nerdy cosplayer who's studying vocal performance (I want to be an opera singer!) And making awesome cosplay *and* singing awesome songs in them sounds like something I'd love to do one day ToT

Sounds like the thermoplastic ones can be re-heated and re-molded, so I think you could do a second attempt!

I got some of these when I was 14 going through oth phase....I loved them

I have a pair with the thermoplastic but i feel like i would def like the molding putty better. Sometimes the thermoplastic will brush against my mouth in a way that will activate my gag reflex and it sounds like that wouldnt be a problem with the putty. Thanks, Ginny!! :)

Scarecrow products are really good. I had a pair of fangs for about 6 years. I lost them in a move from NM to OR. I highly recommend Scarecrow products.

Is there anything special you do to keep the makeup from smearing off, including from your hands? You make it look SO GOOD!!😈💖😈

I prefer the "sexy bites" cause they're shape is nicer than the straight down look the scarecrow ones have. I like the tiny curve the other brand has. They're also affordable and have thermal plastic beads to fit them to your teeth. If anything I'd love the putty mix from this scarecrow kit in the sexy bites kit . That'd be perfect.

More because I do work with models that have mold lines I might suggest taking the mold line off of the horns. They'll look better in the end but you'll have to touch up the colour after.

Yeah, these were cheap and roughly spray painted specifically for this video - none of these were full "costumes," they were just rough tests. There are a zillion little flaws on each of these looks.

For your goblin/tiefling ears, do you do new paint each time or do you have a collection you've painted permanently?

Dude, I've been using thermo plastic adhered fangs and they've needed a huge excess of plastic to make them stick. If these don't need that, I may have to buy a new pair.

I like the half Dragon look. I've tried these fangs before a long time ago but couldn't get them to work because my k-9s are much wider, almost twice the width of the fangs. Any advice?

Were you using the small deluxe or the classic? The classic are a bit larger, but if your teeth are that much bigger than the classic size, I'd recommend trying the shredders - since they're two teeth-worth of fangs, they're pretty wide!

Oh no! If you're worried about this, it might be a good idea to test a little of it before you go through the whole molding process.

Have you tried Snazaroo? Would you prefer Mehron to snazaroo? I know snazaroo makes my eyes water something fierce, but so do most makeups unfortunately

My shredder fangs from scarecrow lasted me years while larping and going to ren fairs only broke because I got hit in the face with a baseball bat but i have been looking to replace them for larping again.

This is a silly question but do you brush the teeth while they’re in your mouth or do you take them out first? I’m just about to buy a set for my Halloween costume and I’m buzzing!!

Take 'em out! You want to make sure to clean the inside of the fangs too, the part that sits on your tooth while you're wearing them.

It might get uncomfortable for an extended period, but I wonder if you could force yourself to "underbite" for awhile and use the large fangs on your lower teeth as an Orc or something with lower tusks like that?

Do you ever plan on doing the redesigns?

Do you ever re-mold fangs that you've used? Or once they're good and molded to your teeth, they're totally fine to re-use as is provided you brush them? I cosplay Nott and I've been removing the hardened putty with tweezers and remolding them every time :\

Nope, I've been wearing my Jester fangs for a year and haven't re-molded them once. Sounds like you're creating a lot of extra work for yourself!

In future videos can we get the camera focusing on what you are talking about instead of having it fixed at one angle? So we can see what is happening in more detail. Such as when you were mixing and applying the mold.

I'm a solo person working alone with a tripod! This video already took me a full workday to film - I don't have the luxury of another person to handle the camera or a second camera, so every time I switch views, I have to stop what I'm doing, rearrange my entire filming setup, film, and then afterwards, perform that entire shuffle again. As much as I'd love to have super high production value videos, my resources are limited! I'm working with what I have.

Have you started the Veth cosplay yet ?

Could you mold both teeth at the same time ?

The instructions suggest waiting five minutes in between applications so that you don't bump the first fang while setting the second.

The white contacts are... unsettling, but they look cool.
