Baldur's Gate 3 Karlach cosplay- making prosthetics from foam clay!!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This was a super-quick project that was about 2 days worth of crafting and 1 of make up- I just had to create my best girl!
If you like tutorials and stuff like this, you should check out my Patreon! I post previews, work in progress and other updates, occasional exclusive tutorials and montages and sometimes make up creations entirely exclusive to Patreon! Plus joining helps support me to create my just-for-fun creative projects like this-

Also huge thank you to Lumin's Workshop, it's where I get all my EVA foam, foam clay, contact adhesive and a tonne of other cosplay staples. They are always wonderful for advice and have helped me out a lot with a future project I'll be showing you all soon!

More ways to make horns! • 3 Quick and Easy Ways ...
Other products I used for the make up:
Kryolan Supracolour and Aquacolour bodypaints.
Kryolan Prosaide
Kryolan Liquid Latex
Scarecrow Deluxe vampire fangs
Black and dark red eyeshadow from a Morphe eyeshadow palette. (can't remember the original name sorry!)
Contacts are 'space gate brown' from TTDeye.
If you want to try any of these for yourself- please remember to read and follow all instructions and safety labels- especially test patches for make up, and a ventilated space and respirator for contact adhesive (and latex too just cos liquid latex smells real bad!).
And if you have any questions or comments, please do let me know, I'll try and keep an eye on comments to answer them if I can!

I love how accessible this tutorial is. Foil, tape, cardboard roll. Using toilet paper as a stand for sculpting! This is probably the first cosplay tutorial that I've seen where I thought, "Yea, I could manage that!"

Honestly it's what I strive for. There's been so many new techniques in cosplay that I put off learning because of how intimidating it can all be! I just got gifted a laser cutter I've been side-eyeing it instead of teaching myself how to use it lol.

Seeing the shorts utilizing this cosplay have brought me so much joy. The look, production, and acting are great. When it comes to trying to support the horn and keep it in place, I dont know if this has been brought up but sewing into hair is a thing that can/has been done. Theoretically the thread connected to the horn could be woven through the hair, secured in a small hidden braid. If someone isnt up for sewing through a braid they could actually braid the thread in. Either way the braid can then be covered with stray hair.
