Baldur's Gate 3 Karlach cosplay- making prosthetics from foam clay!!
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This was a super-quick project that was about 2 days worth of crafting and 1 of make up- I just had to create my best girl!

Also huge thank you to Lumin's Workshop, it's where I get all my EVA foam, foam clay, contact adhesive and a tonne of other cosplay staples. They are always wonderful for advice and have helped me out a lot with a future project I'll be showing you all soon!

More ways to make horns! • 3 Quick and Easy Ways ...
Other products I used for the make up:
Kryolan Supracolour and Aquacolour bodypaints.
Kryolan Prosaide
Kryolan Liquid Latex
Scarecrow Deluxe vampire fangs
Black and dark red eyeshadow from a Morphe eyeshadow palette. (can't remember the original name sorry!)
Contacts are 'space gate brown' from TTDeye.
If you want to try any of these for yourself- please remember to read and follow all instructions and safety labels- especially test patches for make up, and a ventilated space and respirator for contact adhesive (and latex too just cos liquid latex smells real bad!).
And if you have any questions or comments, please do let me know, I'll try and keep an eye on comments to answer them if I can!

I love how accessible this tutorial is. Foil, tape, cardboard roll. Using toilet paper as a stand for sculpting! This is probably the first cosplay tutorial that I've seen where I thought, "Yea, I could manage that!"

Honestly it's what I strive for. There's been so many new techniques in cosplay that I put off learning because of how intimidating it can all be! I just got gifted a laser cutter I've been side-eyeing it instead of teaching myself how to use it lol.

You brought Karlach to life. Awesome.
9:20 the layered black and red hair looks super dope here.
Hollywood FX level honestly.
I very love Karlach she is my favorite character in the game. And omg you did a rly GOOD work! Your Karlach cosplay is amazing. 🥰
Excellent tutorial, MissTwisted! It always amazes me how resourceful cosplayers are. 👍🏼
I love when KZread recommends gems like this to me. Fantastic job, looks awesome!
Karlach is the GOAT hands down. Fantastic job you look amazing!
This is such a good cosplay! Really nicely wrapped up! Using masking tape over the foil base for the horns to give the clay better adhesion is so smart o0o
Karlach is my inngame beloved. And awsome job on the cosplay!
This is completely amazing. Great job you look so amazing
Man, you cosplay folks are so talented with your creations. Makes me so jealous!
Wow. This is seriously awesome. It's not surprising that you're almost at 1M subs. Can't wait for more content!
Seriously, I think I said it on the short, you really nailed this cosplay. And it was cool seeing the start to finish and the amount of work you put in to complete it.
it feels so cute pretending that te outro was from an actual red person just wrapping up a make-up tutorial!
Karlach has been my favorite you did amazing at bringing her to life!
Yay foam clay! I just used this for the first time in a cosplay I made recently 😁 You look amazing!!

@@MissTwisteddd yes! I made horns too, for King from Owl House and your welcome! 😁
Karlach is my fave! You look incredible! Yeah, I'm also obsessed with BG3, too. It's become a problem and I don't care.
Seeing the shorts utilizing this cosplay have brought me so much joy. The look, production, and acting are great. When it comes to trying to support the horn and keep it in place, I dont know if this has been brought up but sewing into hair is a thing that can/has been done. Theoretically the thread connected to the horn could be woven through the hair, secured in a small hidden braid. If someone isnt up for sewing through a braid they could actually braid the thread in. Either way the braid can then be covered with stray hair.

That's actually such a good idea! Would be more secure than just a bobby pin like I used!
A lot of work, effort, and dedication, you do very nice work and looks very nice! ❤ I love it!
You make this all look so easy! I admire the discipline, knowledge, and creativity it must take to figure everything out the way you do.
Always blown away the level of work cosplay folks can do.
Wow...just wow....and thats without the cosplay! :P Keep up the amazing work!
I recently got my first bucket of foam clay. That stuff is so cool! It changes a lot for me as far as costumes. The first thing I made was a set of horns for my forehead 😁😆
This video is quite educational. I didn't know horns could be made this way... I've always heard of using plastic Woah! That backdrop halfway through the video looks awesome! Definitely very professional.

Haha thank you for the kind words! Yeah I love using random materials. Foam clay is becoming more common but the fact that you can use cardboard, hot glue, foil, wire, so many different ways to do it!
You are so good at this, it's jaw-dropping. Amazing work as always.
Amazing work. I was blown away when I saw that first vid on TikTok. You never fail to impress!
OMG o_0 😍😍😍 You would be one one the best Karlach Cosplayer on a con imo 😃🥰
you look frickin amazing and completely nailed it!
In my game Karlach is my bestie and Shadowheart is Bae. Your Karlach short is what introduced me to your channel and I adore your cosplay work and owl enthusiasm. Look forward to seeing more in the future.

Ditto! I shared her channel with a friend who is also into cosplay big time. Also with my daughter and her BFF, who did incredible Nazgul costumes for when their friends did a "Lord of the Wings" weekend with a marathon of the LotR movies and WAY too much good food.
On first glance, before even seeing your cosplay, you have the PERFECT face shape for a Karlach cosplay, im thrilled to see the end result And to clarify, I don't think Cosplays always need to be 100% accurate, but ill be honest, I really love it when they are, personally I believe everyone should be able to cosplay their favorite characters, no matter their budget or body
I believe the Owlchemist finally has a competitor for favorite cosplay XD Karlach is such a great character and you've done her justice, seeing the process come together was really fun and fascinating.

So here's a "quick one" that I just "threw together". So crazy good and you look amazing! These tutorials are great fun too and really informative
I would never have thought the base for those horns was alfoil and toilet paper tubes. Incredible use of on-hand items! ❤ Edit: bade to base.
That‘s soo amazing! 😍🔥

I have a shaved head and managed to keep some very large 3D printed horns attached for 4 hours with prosaid this year for a faun costume. Definitely going to try working with that foam next time.
Amazing!
you look like her without the makeup and all, and the end result perfect.
Little tip for getting foam clay to stick to other surfaces, just lightly wet the surface you want it to stick to with some water. It works surprisingly well
gonna be using this to make some horns for a dragon-inspired cosplay
I love how you call it a "casual" and "super quick" cosplay and in the end you still end up looking like the real deal. I'm not sure how the effort compares to other cosplays, but this does NOT look casual at all :D

Haha I think it's because it was 2-3 days work total rather than spending weeks or month on a cosplay!
you nailed it
awesome work
when she grabbed that big all hook needle, genuinely thought she was gonna sew it to her forehead, on one hand, I thought, damn she's dedicated, but the other I was mortified. glad it ended differently.
Awesome !
You look amazing!
This looks fantastic. How much detail there is in it. Cool. Just imagine the situation if the postman or a neighbor rings the doorbell. *laughs

Fantastic video.... !!!! This foam clay looks just like real clay, so I want to check it out. I'm an architect who uses an oil-clay to shape my projects because it doesn't shrink, but maybe this will work well since it dry's into a light foam.
@MissTwisteddd
10 ай бұрын
Foam clay does shrink a little when it dries so just keep that in mind! and it's more springy/stretchy. But it's not crazy expensive so it might be worth a try!
