Dehydrated calves often need fluids in addition to oral electrolyte treatment. Subcutaneous fluids are administered under the skin and are a valuable compliment to oral electrolyte therapy for calves that are between 5 to 8% dehydrated. In this episode of Calf Management Tips, Elizabeth shows how to properly administer subcutaneous fluids to baby calves.
