Most of these guys can make all the throws and are good enough athletes. The next step is more about leadership, being able to handle the cognitive load, working under pressure, handling adversity, gaining veterans respect, handling a variety of game situations, etc. The pro days don't do much for me. All of this was obvious to anyone who actually watched his film a looooooong time ago. The only real unknowns at this point are how he will fare against NFL level defenses and if that will reveal some points of weakness that other teams will be able to exploit. Assuming Caleb delivers and there's no undiscovered weaknesses which the Bears are unable to help him fix. The only other big question is if the Bears coaching staff can scheme up an offense that can consistently win games with CW as the starting QB.

You learn so much more just watching him play
The 1 ball is locked in. Those screen passes were a little more wobbly than what you normally see by NFL qbs. Good deep ball. Its very interesting how the motion is sped up by like 1/8 of a second. Compared to the conventional front foot strike mechanic. Also pigeon toes for anything inside 20 yards but turns it at the target for deep passes. Very interesting
One of the smoothest deliveries I've ever seen, and I've been watching/analyzing football since the 70's. Electric arm on par with Marino, Rodgers, Mahomes, with regards to efficiency, smoothness, accuracy. These types of guys don't have the strongest arm in the league, they simply have the best arms because their passes are so easy to catch. I have little doubt that Caleb will be a stud NFL QB. Bears may do big things Year 1 of the Caleb Williams era!

43 passes, 4 incompletions (1 a drop). Not a bad day for Caleb. He certainly could have done better considering a couple overthrows albeit on pretty deep attempts. The real takeaway with routes on air is how effortlessly QBs operate. He can make every throw between the sidelines, 65 yards deep. The ball placement hitting his teammates in stride on almost every completion is special. Let's also give props to the receiver and running back groups. Got to see some explosiveness and soft hands. No bricks out here. I'm not sure if anyone's stock rose but they certainly didn't drop. Nice stuff USC.

Dude is a beast, there is no doubt about that. I think the circumstances make or break young QBs coming out of college. Sure, attitude plays a factor too but I don’t see anything wrong with him from an outsider perspective (interviews and whatnot). If the Bears would have drafted Mahomes he wouldn’t have any MVPs or Super Bowl wins. Bears are terrible at knowing how to develop and helping young QBs succeed. Bears rarely have the 1st or 2nd overall pick lol wtf. Until the last 5 or 6 years, they were always a middle of the draft team. They traded up to 2 to get Mitch. They did earn the pick in the 2023 draft, but this year's #1 pick was gifted to them by the Panthers because of the 2023 trade. Pretty sure the last time the Bears had a top 2 pick, before the draft where they traded up to take Mitch, was in the early 90s.
Starting at 6:15 & 6:52 FINALLY, someone showing some love. Get it boyyy! WOOOOO... 😄🤣

NFL Media analyst Mike Mayock is fond of saying that Jamarcus Russell's pro day was the best ever for any quarterback. He nailed every throw and launched the deep ball with his cannon of an arm. The hype train started to run away for Russell after a flawless day.

I see why he skipped the combine😂
He has great ball release
This just in, Williams decides to enter draft as a lefty.
I’m so tired of everybody already calling him a bust Shut up He could be elite, he may not be He’s also got some of the best weapons in the league and an OC that helped revive Geno. Don’t just automatically assume he will be a bust. We weren’t saying these things about burrow or trevor And shut up about his off the fields stuff. Rodgers is a diva and he has one multiple MVPs

They have Moore & Kimet. Keenan Allen is like 35 yrs old and couldn’t even get the team he wanted to retire on to pay him. RB is swap is a push as far as I’m concerned.

@@holmesmd1Allen is only 31 and his team was over the cap by like 35 mil. They asked multiple star players on the team to take a paycut and Allen said no, because he had one of his best years last year with over 1200 yards in only 12 games played.
