Love anytime Cake gets some attention. Great lists! I have to admit the first half of Comfort Eagle is so good. The second half nearly holds up as well but it is a leaner sounding production vs the first few albums, as noted. My favorite might be Frank Sinatra because it is as good a summary of Cake as there could be!

Great #8 pick! The original version is an all-time favorite of mine, but Cake does it justice.

Oh man. I love Cake, but haven't listened in a long long time. So, many of these could change and these are in no particular order: Ruby Sees All Never There I Bombed Korea Jolene Satan Is My Motor Sheep Go To Heaven Italian Leather Sofa Friend Is A Four Letter Word Mexico Sad Songs and Waltzes honorables: Mr. Mastodon Man Up So Close Pentagram Ain't No Good Race Car Ya-Ya's Frank Sinatra Daria You Turn The Screws Commissioning A Symphony In C Wheels p.s. I hated Short Skirt, Long Jacket. To me it was the first time I felt they were trying to recreate the magic of the distance, but trying to appeal to the hipster crowd. I don't dislike it anymore, but I would never seek it out.
