People need to calm the F down. It was her first game. Michael Jordan scored 16 points in his first game and he is the GOAT. The fact that she scored 20 is amazing. She will work on her defense and her turnovers. She is a professional and will have the time to work on her profession. Casuals expect her to be Jokic on her first game. Calm down.

Commentary was spot on. I think Caitlin will eventually be just fine. But on the whole, I thought the Fever showed up not ready to play. The whole team struggled, not just Caitlin. And that's on the coach. From what she's said in the media, I think Sides is one of those coaches who comes in with a system and then tries to pressure players into it. Good coaches build their system around what their players do best and helps them succeed. I may be spoiled by watching Lisa Bluder coach Caitlin the last two years. I thought she was a terrific team builder. But we have to remember Sides was a rookie coach just last year. The Fever is also a very young team, so everyone on that team has a lot of learning to do when it comes to the goal of putting a championship quality team on the floor. We'll see how things progress. Still, I don't get a good feeling from Sides. She seems kind of rigid and overwhelmed with the task presented to her. While I hope not, it wouldn't surprise me if her time as a head coach is short.

I think this is good analysis. The elite defense had her number as a shooter at the beginning of the game. She figured that out and made the shots later, but still needed to figure out the PG part of her game, the assists. This is where her coach and the other players need to go through the tape with her. She's smart; she'll get it. But 10 turnovers? She needs to improve and SHE WILL.

This is a way in which the nba and wnba is different. It’s tough to be a rookie PG in both leagues but the playmaking translates faster in the NBA, while the scoring can take a bit to translate, it’s the opposite in the nba, where the scoring is gonna translate quicker than the playmaking. The fact that she can give you 20 against a top defense is a great starting point.

The fact that 1- DT said THE SAME THING AS CLARK and many said DT was a hater, makes those ppl look goofy. 2- The Media making it about Clark when Alyssa Thomas had a triple double, DB making history during the game and not taking about D Caringtons defense, is messed up. 3- Clark will be great, she had her WTTL moment and will be better than ever as soon as Mitchell is healthy enough to play the one!

What makes players elite is because of their brains. These women are just longer, stronger and faster. She’s going to understand that her windows for passing and driving and shooting are going to be tighter. 10 turnovers is a good thing! It proves she isn’t scared and is still being herself. The turnovers will go down, shooting will improve, she’ll bulk up in the offseason and be a total menace. Enjoy the moment haters! Like they said with Wemby. This is the worst she’ll ever be.

The Fever coaching staff should move Howard to PG and keep CC at SG...This will take the pressure off of CC trying to run both the offense and trying to score effectively at the same time...In addition...right now...the offense should start with A. Not sure this was a bad game for CC. She’s a great shooter and 4/11 threes is good.People talk about her vision but this is somebody who had nearly 5 turnovers a game in college mainly due to bad passes leading to an assist to turnover ratio of less than 2. With better athleticism and height we shouldn’t expect her to improve as a ball handler/distributor. Somebody else(Berger) needs to run the point and CC needs to run screen games with the bigs to pop open for jumpers or create mismatches underneath for the bigs. She was a high volume player in college but not that efficient. Despite the hype, she’s not a great ball handler or passer, she’s good at those. The Fever need to play to her strengths which will mean less usage and potentially scoring but hopefully more wins.
