The teammates are finally getting it. Now every time they get a rebound, it goes immediately to Clark and she distributes it for a score or brings it up the court at a fast pace. As you said, that wears defenses down eventually. The opposing teams are now reluctant to crash the boards for offensive rebounds because if the Fever gets it it's a fast break basket, almost guaranteed. Basketball at that pace is exciting to watch and fills the seats.

@@stevehardwick7285 BINGO!!! I say the same thing. I really believe the Fever is the best team in the WNBA when it comes to fast breaks. They make teams pay when they miss shots. If the Fever makes the playoffs, I would not want to face them. They will literally have the entire nation rooting for them and I really believe they will play like crazy and with nothing to lose

CC has talked about this before. In an earlier game where she got 12 rebounds she talked about how the bigs on her team blocking out their defenders makes it easier for her to get the rebounds & her getting the rebounds allows them to push the pace & get transition points more easily. They have also gotten much faster at inbounding to CC after made shots for the same reason.

In soccer long passes are called line breaking passes because they bypass the defensive formation. Clark is the most accurate line breaker in the league. The shooting range and gravity opens up even more line breaking passes.

They should be so fortunate! If the shots is there, take it! If not, get to the post and score or kick out for the open three! Simple concept! Triangles with pick and rolls! They have the personnel to run a highly efficient offense! Lots of speed and good shooters when the rhythm and flow is established! Super fun and entertaining to witness! Yeah, witness! I don't watch games. I witness them, then tell the truth! UNLIKE the woke fools who watch and try to convince us what we clearly witnessed ourSelves! F them and their bull💩!

It’s actually not there yet because Caitlin is still being held back in some way. At Iowa she had the green light to shoot whenever, wherever, and however, but she hasn’t been given that freedom yet. They haven’t fully accepted her as their undisputed superstar that she is, like the Iowa team did. They would even be better than they are right now if they fully handed the team to her.

Angel Reese (FORWARD ) 14.1 (PTS ), 1.9 ( AST rank 54th ) , 11.9 ( REB rank 1st ) , 1.5 ( STL ) , 1.8 ( TO ). ( CC ast 7.4 rank 2nd to Reese 1.9 ast rank 54th / Reese 11.9 reb rank 1st to CC 6.0 rank 18th ) Caitlin Clark shows lots of diversity and has great overall court awareness not to mention she is outstanding in her passing CC is a better team leader spreads the ball around all her many assist prove that point and at the same time even though she leads in turnovers she also leads the ENTIRE LEAGUE in Most points generated. This is why we'll be seeing more triple doubles (or, at least a few more close calls). The Fever are figuring out that CC rebounds turn into CC assists for easy buckets. CC does not even bother trying to get offensive rebounds. When they get a 3 attempt she is retreating. I have seen so many times at Iowa and Indiana where rebounds drop within feet of her. She has to know it but she just starts to retreat. I could see her getting a quality off season coach that will turn her into a powerhouse and also play better defense. I have seen Hailey Van Lith workouts with her father and also a different person and it is incredible. Non stop mid range game . She was good at Louisville not at LSU. Fully expect CC to come back after the break and show new things we have not seen yet.

defensive rebound is the fastest part of the run and gun 7 seconds to bucket playstyle, that is Caitlin Clarks system, and it's until now it has been unstoppable unless they misses. She's usually guarded full court if it's not a rebound. Fever is experts on punishing the opposition's faults, due to the speed they miss more. since honestly, they are not realy good defensive. but they are working on that too. Against Liberty, it was Liberty misses that sank them first and forth period. The assists goes up because teammates catches and scores better.... these are stats that are only going to improve... So Fever is a dangerous team to play against.

There's a relationship between Caitlin's rebounding and winning, but I don't think it's causal. The more the Fever look like the Iowa team with Caitlin relentlessly pushing the offense, the more teams realize they better quickly get their collective butts down the court to play defense. This makes it easier for Caitlin to grab rebounds. One of the smartest things Christie Sides has done was to stop trying to fit Caitlin into an offense and realize Caitlin IS the offense. Teams are now realizing if you hang around the rim waiting for an offensive rebound and you don't get it, Caitlin is going to be pushing the offense down their throats. Fun stuff!

I understand when she has to help her team get a rebound. What I don't understand is when she leaves the player she is guarding on the perimeter to go grab a rebound that can only be contested by her own teammates. She doesn't have elite speed like a Magic who would go end to end. Fever fans want them to run so why isn't she releasing for the outlet pass to initiate the break? I think that is a legitimate question. Here's a scenario for the basketball challenged: CC is guarding her assignment who puts up a 3-point shot over her. CC immediately releases--keeping a watchful eye to see if her team gets the rebound, if not, she resets on defense. If Boston rebounds the ball she continues breaking. Boston passes to her as CC heads towards the basket. The scattered defense converges towards her and she hits the faster Temi or Mitchell with the pass for a layup. Instead, we wait for CC to grab a rebound under the basket, alongside side Smith and Boston and she dribbles up court while the defense is already setting.

Angel Reese's record has never been done, her record has never been done by any WNBA player in any season, not just by players in their rookie year. Think about that, no player in the WNBA, which includes all of the Hall of Famers, Allstars, and Rookies of the Year, in every season that they have ever played, hasn’t done what Angel Reese is doing as a rookie. Caitlyn Clarks record is compared only to players in their first year, because other players have had a triple-double this year, it’s a good record, but not that special of a record compared to Chi-Town Barbie’s record. In the history of the WNBA how many teams were bad enough that they let a rookie play point guard for 38 minutes a game? (just to pad her stats)! Caitlyn Clark is the only rookie that has ever been given that type of opportunity to attempt a triple-double in their rookie season.

CC is leading her team and making everyone on the floor better. Angel Reese isn't doing that. Obviously, she isn't a point guard, but CC does more for her team though.

Reese's run of consecutive double double games is not a true run because right in the middle of this run, in the final minutes of a game the Sky were losing, one of the Lynx players purposefully fouled Reese so she could get the extra point necessary to keep her streak going. Now if Reese can keep making double doubles, she will break the record for most double doubles in a season which will be great and an impressive record for her to break. And if she keeps up her current number of rebounds she could definitely break the record for most offensive rebounds in a season & could even possibly break the record for most total rebounds in a season too. But CC's records are not just rookie records. She is currently leading the league in the most points attributed to a player thru points & assists ahead of Ionescu, Arike, & Aja. And if she keeps up her current stats, she will be the first player ever in the WNBA with that high of an pt/asst/reb per game record. She is also the fastest WNBA player to record the milestones of points/assists records in a season. Currently she is the fastest player to reach 300 pts, 100 rebounds & 100 assists in 19 games (She has been doing this all season by hitting the milestones of 100pts, 50asst, then 200pts, 75reb, 75asst faster than any other player in the WNBA in a season)
