Robin, I don't get the obsession with giving CC all this praise as if she hasn't gotten the biggest push in the history of the league. CC is good, but she is still a media hype job. Her fans are not WNBA fans; if she gets injured today, 90% of them would leave. If you go back to March 2023, history will show Angel Reese sparked everything. She was the catalyst for everything: the hate, the praise, the interest, the narratives, the drama. CC gives us nothing but logo 3's and perfect answers, which makes her the perfect hero. This is why the media and KZreadrs create a rivalry for her every game.

There is only one reason for the increase of 7 times the number of votes. That is CC’s popularity. The numbers don’t lie. The proper way for the league to handle this is to say “Thank you Caitlyn.” Women are horrible to each other.

Not sure if that is a good thing....They are not a good teammate. A. Boston is decent, but she isn't aggressive, and assertive. Mitchell is a BALLHOG. She is like Carmello Anthony. He has NEVER won a Championship BECAUSE he thinks he is the center of his team and only he can have the ball. Hardin is not as bad, but he also don't pass much and he has NEVER won a Championship too.

Yes, we know CC has brought new fans to the W. Yes, that would explain the surge in All-Star voting. No surprise. Next! Yes, the Fever had 3 all-stars. I would argue Carter deserved the nod over Mitchell, but it is what it is. That's what happens with a surge of new fans that are just learning the league and players, Hell, Kate Martin got a lot of votes and she plays limited minutes. How can Carrington not be an All-Star? Like her or hate her there is no denying what kind of player she is. Natasha Cloud? Leading the league in assist/point double-doubles? They're probably going to have to do something about the voting percentages in the future I would think. 50% fan vote is too much. All-Star games would become a joke.

Maybe if Carter and Carrington behaved well as professional athletes, they could have gotten more fan votes? They weren't in the 2021 All-Star team either when there were no "new fans". Fan votes are only 50%, the other 50% are the press, the players and the coaches. So why would it be a joke?
