Yes, the building experience is a bit more challenging as one is used to from Lego. And yes, the quality of the pieces is not perfect. But building this masterpiece is fun. My problem with Lego is not the usage of "color coding", it´s the heinous use of too much colors. A Lego gearbox looks like a shredded parrot, i get nausea from looking at it. Maybe using black, light and dark grey would make things better. Another thing is the enormous use of stickers by Lego. I don't like stickers because they decay after a while, it is quite cahllenging to get them accurate in line, and the thing is you can't identify Lego Sets like the 488 Ferrari as a Ferrari without the stickers. Without stickers it is a expensive gernic car without identity, without functions, and it bends like a pice of rubber. So there is no question, that i like the CaDa version much more then the Lego thing.

I actually liked the challenge, I think this was more fun to build then Lego supercars - but I built quite a lot of Technic sets so I guess I count as advanced builder :) The RC is a bit of a gimmick in such big and heavy set, but the shifter mechanism built with servo is really cool. It is also possible to get this set without motors (C61043W) for lower price. And there is also a yellow version C61057W. As for the parts, I agree there is room for improvement but there was already a drastic improvement in part quality between Centenario (C61041W) and this set. I had some loose parts, but nothing fell off of my set. But on the other hand I had some color differences visible on front and on rear spoiler that I do not see on your set (or at least they are less prominent). All in all I'm on the side that Cada set is much better deal then "flexari" from Lego, but maybe not for casual builders as you mentioned.

For me it had been 20 years since I last build a Technic set (for kids). I didn't find it frustrating to build, though I did a double take on some of the more fancy steps to make sure they work. Placing some pieces towards the end - when spaces become tight - can be really challenging and require a bit of creativity. A long thin metal rod can be useful to apply pressure where your finger can't reach. The only quality issue I had was around 10 pieces in which 2-long-axles were too loosely fitting, but this can be resolved with tiny pieces of tape placed on top of the axle before pushing it in. Colors matched better than in the video. I'm currently thinking about putting a bit of super glue on the pieces that can fall off (which are ultimately just a select few). Took me 28h total, it was very motivating and I found some of the building solutions properly fascinating, but I also won't do it again (I think). Still, worth it I'd say.

Hi Balazs, I finally decided to buy a copy of this set. I have plenty of lego technic cars, both official and MOCs, and even tho this set is motorized, I don't plan on using these functions, but simply have it as a display model. As of today this set is on its way, and I have only one CaDa set, the Porsche 919 Hybrid MOC, and even tho some pieces definitely have strange tolerances, I was quite satisfied with the overall quality, certainly better than other lego knockoff brands. The only issue I had with that set were the stickers, which were simply bad, not only in terms of quality, but of size. Some stickers were too big and reached the edges on all sides of a piece, and in some instances also covered some pin-holes. I'd have preferred if they did like lego and shaped the stickers to the shape of the pieces they are gonna be applied to. But since this set has not that many stickers (and I plan on buying custom ones after the Ferrari 488 pista) those shouldn't be a problem. Great review as always!

I really like the set's look, sometimes I also think about to get it, but I'm still not sure about the quality. Maybe I'll be lucky and get some set with better quality, but I can be unlucky nonetheless. I'm looking forward to see more great content here Balazs!

The Quality is actually pretty good for the most Part. My only complain would be the exact same piece shown in the video, everything else is almost on lego-level. Still, i agree that there is room for improvement, in the quality and the design, but considering the 3200 very useful pieces (black pins)+ motors for 180 bucks, i can tolerate the minor weaknesses of the set

I also recommend you to try TheBlockZone. I just bought the Master of Monaco one it works pretty well! The bricks were very much similar to LEGO and I didn't have any missing pieces. I'd give it a solid 9 just because it doesn't have the gear shift like the one on the video has

The only compliant I have is the weight. I bought the MOC Mclaren 720 as well, it's just too heavy for RC (very rigid for sure), unless I spend extra money for more powerful battery and motor. In terms of build, it's just lots of parts, so takes time. But I personally don't find it complicated. I am about half way through the cada Ferrari build. I don't recommend RC version for the MOC supercars, it's just too heavy and more often than not they sit on the shelf. RC is better left for smaller and lighter cars.

Greetings from Ukraine! 💙💛 Thank you for this amazing review! Love Ferrari design, especially interior with this seats😍 Surprised by motorisation (why car is so slow?💁‍♂️) but working paddle shifters forced me to fall in love! Bad quality visible from the kilometer, but interesting in comparing with Lego)) Wanna to see your review on CaDa's Lamborghini Centenario😏👀

It's not that simple. LEGO parts would resolve the quality issues, but I think the construction is still too fragile at certain places to be an RC set. It'd be a better display piece without the motorized components. And of course the black on black interior and structure would still make it a challenging build for casual builders, even if you would use LEGO pieces.

  • @DelLego

@@RBsGadgetReviews ah I see. I was thinking maybe the fragile construction is because of the poor connection between the cada parts, unlike the stronger connections in lego. And I don't think the all black interior would be possible in official lego pieces anyway 🤣

I'm thinking of buying this set. The Lego Ferrari Daytona, in my opinion, completely fails to capture the vibe and I do not like the looks of it at all. Cada, on the other hand, looks gorgeous, but I'm scared of quality issues, and the toy being fragile in general.

I really like the front section of this car but the rear fenders and body lines are completly off in my opinion, why WHY do 3rd party manufactures always need to use flex axles as fenders? It never looks good, one of the most terrible designs is on the McLaren p1 from Mould king, just make one fender piece and it looks 100 times better.

@@gielvanderkolk747 you got it all wrong. I do not review any brands that steal LEGO or MOC designs by default, I know CaDA well, I respect their efforts and I reviewed multiple products from them. I review these sets the exact same way I review LEGO sets. I agree it has better price then anything similar released by LEGO, but meanwhile it doesn't have the same part quality standards, and allow me please to have concerns about the design itself. Designing anything RC requires strength and stability in the first place, you cannot put motors in a fragile statue and ask people to play nicely and avoid walls, this is not how good product design works.
