Cabin Life: Off Grid Living Growing Your Own Food

I share with you some brief footage of my harvest this year that will get me through the entire year. I grow on average about 600 pounds of potatoes, 100 pounds of carrots, and enough of the other root vegetables and others to sustain a full year of vegetable consumption.

Nothing like the taste of home grown. You got a good yield.

Hey Dave, good stuff........lots of good feeds on those wintry days coming up eh? I usually ripen my tomatoes in a brown bag with a banana or more ripe tomatoes. Ethylene is a gas produced by fruits and some bananas, including tomatoes, that promotes ripening. works really well..........cheers

Hey buddy, yes I am actually frying up some ptarmigan with spuds tonight! I also use the brown paper bags as well, its just important to keep the humidity low. Cheers.
