Cab Ride Over White Pass-Pavey to Fraser
Ride on board the cab of White Pass & Yukon shovel nose diesel #96 as it pull train #2 between Carcross, Yukon and Skagway, Alaska.
In this installment, we'll see the line between the station at Pavey, BC and Bennett, then on up Fraser Hill to Fraser.
The view is entirely looking straight ahead, and this is not a fast railroad (we run at "touring speed), although the scenery is stunning. This was shot before the 90-series diesels were re-powered, so you'll hear the original sounds.

In the Fraser to Skagway segment, as we were descending below Gulch, I was just thunderstruck by the view. I looked over at engineer John Westfall, and he probably didn't even notice the scenery, so intent was his concentration on getting the train safely down the hill!
