Yea it is far too fine to be a simple character animation, this must be a brilliant render engine

probably none at all .. each object is a vector, composed of a (small) number of 2D points. There is probably a 2nd table showing which object goes at which position for each frame.

@@croolis Even if you do straightforward compression with deltas versus previous point to the left you still end up with hundreds of bytes per frame. Plus an animation compression (where the change versus previous frame starts). But I suspect there must be something else beyond straightforward compression, like caching point sets of the most common curves or a complex render engine which has commands for straight lines and splining

@@petercortens6019 if the objects are separate, as I think, for example the car would be an object, the rattle lines another one etc. there would be a database of objects plus only a few bytes per frame, really to position the objects correctly. It doesn't make sense to, for example, encode the car in each frame.

@@ailstI thought Gigi would be the first to come up with this idea, but I was wrong too. Bla Bla Bla was my first contact with this lineman. I made a recording with this demo and a Gigi inspired soundtrack on the C64 about 2 years ago. It fits nice to this Video Animation! I would guess sprites used where needed but otherwise clever use of the programmable PETSCII / text mode ?
