Not a definitive list by any means - a showcase list of my subjective top 15 Commodore 64 demos from the 80s. They were mainly downloaded from Compunet, the dial up environment for the Commodore 64.
And I could have done a top 100 there's so many cool demos available!!

Yes, it's subject to change, but these stood out as they were some of the first I saw, so struck a chord. Do you remember the early Commodore 64 demoscene? Were you a part of it? Agree with the list?

There is a strong UK bias. 😄 Nevertheless, great selection.
The demo from the movie "The Thing" (1982) about imitating cells of dog by cells of intruder was created on Commodore 64.
A ZX Spectrum featured in a C64 demo :-) Ooh, the blasphemy!

Hey L.E.Robbo. Yeah, technically brilliant - but I seem to remember it was 1 voted when on Compunet. Shame really as it was a great demo 👌
Does anyone remember a demo video that was a sprite demo w sound back then that, I think, was from Commodore?
Nice collection, but it's a shame that the video has so many stutters.

yeah a mixture of emulator and the recording sw I used. Not the best.
You can't have a demo you did at number 10 that's cheating!
