Purchased my first Vette ('13, GS, Torch Red, 6-Speed manual, 11K miles.) What an incredible car! Sure does get a lot of attention. Not good if I start getting harrassed by Police. I've heard that happens with Red Vettes.

Took delivery of my first corvette July 2019. First sports car that I have ever owned. I will never need any other. 2008 JSB Z06 LT1. Had the heads issue addressed and tuned. 484whp / 451 wtq. That is way more power than is necessary. What socked me the most is how easy they are to drive. Anyhow, congrats on you vette and long live the corvette!

Getting a 2008 C6 Callaway tomorrow.

Just picked up my 2012 Grand Sport 2LT last week and so glad to be back in a Corvette! Had a C4 until we had our first child and now that he is 16 and the daughter is 12, I decided to get back into one! So much nicer than the C4 and o my goodness SOOO much more powerful. Gives me a grin every time I get on it!!

I just purchased my 11th corvette I've ever had today. My last one was a 1997. Today I bought a 2011 grand sport convertible 2LT.

I was there over the summer it's a MUST see for anyone that owns a Corvette.

Sold my C6 last year, miss it every day. I may get last years C7 when the C8 comes out as prices will drop quickly. Same thing I did when I got my C6 and I saved thousands.

0:00:31 that line is very true, i love automobiles, and i do remember the first Corvette i ever saw, it was the C4 Convertible that "face" drove in the TV series A-Team. i was just a little kid back then, and it was love at first sight with me and the Corvettes ever since! great view piece here btw. thanks for sharing. greetings from west germany.

Picked up a 2011 corvette grand sport convertible today!!! It is a 1 owner!! In the car fax it shows the owner did EVERYTHING he was supposed to do as far as when to bring it in and what to get checked or replaced at every time stamp not missing one visit to the Corvette doctor. It is SUPER SONIC BLUE METALLIC which only 236 grand sports came in that color. (Its really not a blue color tone if you ask me. Its more of a light carbon grayish...exterior was appraised at being a 9.4 out of 10, and interior appraised at 9.2 out of 10, with havingall mechanic documents for oil changes fluid checks, etc, and doingeverythingwhen supposed to, chassis trans appraised at a 9.6 out of 10! Guy had a special insurance appraisal done and gave me paperwork. It has 104k on it but as I said above, it's in just as good condition inside outside and mechanically as a 2011 with 20k miles on it seriously. Car is a 30k+ car. I got it for $24k!! Its completely unmolested meaning there is not a single modification done cosmetically or mechanically. It's a perfect great purchase for a Corvette guy like myself. This is my 11th Corvette! I had from 1963 to 2011 and 9 others in between...my last one was a 1997 C5. 2011 grand sport has 430hp. I think all I will do is get the K&N Ram Air intake which gains 22hp and 30 torque. $350 intake giving 22hp and 30 tq. Probably biggest bang for the buck dollar for horse power!! Heck, $5000 header back exhausts dont even give that..freddy header back $5I pipe gives 18-19 hp with a tune.. Lol if I wanted to, there is a tune for $500 I can get with just having a k&n intake that would give me another 48hp or for $750 71hp!! For you guys that want 525 hp in your c6 grand sports or Corvettes in general, k&n ram air intake and a stage 3 tune with race chip it's called will give you 92 horsepower, 525hp total, and cost $1100 total...have fun!!

Just purchased my first Corvette, C6 2012 L2 Grand Sport LT3 convertible... 17,4K miles, very good condition. I really appreciate this video being out on YT, DVD not included with purchase, so very helpful in getting a better overview of what I own. Original tires on it, they will be the first investment... Here in the Midwest, its going to be necessary for all weather Michelins... are there other all weather tires people prefer? Also, looking at upgrading all interior and rear end lighting to LED... thoughts?

Haha...I'm actually looking up headlamp covers and gaskets. To replace the ones on the 2011 grand sport I just bought. It's the angels of headlights like this that makes the gaskets in the covers fail so easy in my opinion. Every car I have had that has a certain fitment I can't explain, they all ended up having moisture issues in the lamp...either that or quality control issues with the headlamp cover gaskets..I'm gonna try an aftermarket pair of covers that come with gaskets that cost $100 and see how they fit, or I may just spend the money and get actual Chevrolet Corvette headlight gaskets for 89.99 for pair , take covers off, polish insides and outsides and install new gaskets and put original covers back on cuz there in good shape minus moisture stains...then the next guy can do it again in 8 years lol...

I got my 2012 grandsport last friday

"The moisture will leave the lamps in two to three hours." I really doubt I drive the car 3 hours a year!

how are you having so many mechanical problems? Is your car modded? my 2013 has had no issues, but it is all stock except for exhaust.

Before you get in this model, be sure the battery is working! If that battery dies while you are inside, be sure you know where the escape switch (cord) is or you won't be able to get out. I know. Oh, and be sure the hard roof is well taped down. It could cost $2000 to replace that roof. I know!

Call the Museum. Web site: National Corvette Museum. Doubt they're selling any ZR1s, but one never knows. Folks donate vehicles to Museum to support the same.

Damn right...although I believe after the C6 they fixed that problem for the C7 and C8 now. But pretty much every year C6 had moisture issues inside the headlight especially if you lived in a humid area or drove in heavy rain. To be fair, Corvette never had visible headlamps until C6. So the creation of headlight weather gaskets was a new thing....lol I just figured after the 2005, 06, 07, 08 , 09, 10, 11, 12, They would have had that quality control down pat lol, nope, 2013s still had the same problem. They waited til the c7 to address that problem lol...

any ideas?
