This is the opening track of their 2018 concept album Queen Of The Murder Scene, released when they were only 13, 16, and 18. The absolute ambition of releasing a concept album at that age. They played the full album live at a venue called Lunario at the time of its release, and the show is up on their channel. That's where my personal favourite version of this song was played.

The full concert video at Teatro Metropolitan is 105 minutes long and is about to reach one million views on day 76 after being uploaded. Truly remarkable but we TWA members know this is only the beginning. After performing on the MTV VMA show, The Warning is gaining about 1000 new subscribers to their KZread channel per day. The momentum will continue to grow when their 4th album is released, which should be very soon. I am 65 years young and The Warning is now my all time favorite rock band.

This concept album is a wild ride. This song begins at the end. We are at the funeral of the protagonist and her ghost is telling us to come in and listen to her story of how things can go wrong. It’s an amazing album. Your way of introducing yourself to them is perfectly fine. They will likely start to announce 2024 tour dates after the first of the year. They are virtually guaranteed to tour North America in the summer, not sure where you are but they’ll be back to Canada, just not in November. Last year they nearly froze to death and all came down with influenza. So whenever you say “up here”, that means summer. Thanks! I’ll check out that site you mentioned.

"EVOLVE" was from their most recent album, "ERROR", released in 2022. "Dust to Dust" is from their second album, "Queen of The Murder Scene", released in 2018. I would like to recommend you check out their January 2017 TEDx performance which is three songs from their first album, "XXI Century Blood", with brief dialog in between songs. This is a great snapshot of the band two months before the album release! It is worth reacting to the entire performance which is under 20 minutes long, in one sitting or in parts.

Pau starts the writing process on about 90% of their songs then the 3 get together and finish them. This is one of a few songs Ale started. In Oct this year they hired the same stage lighting guy they used for teatro. He is well known having worked with Reba, Blake Shelton and Halestorm. He did 3 shows with them in Mexico. They did something special at each show. They debuted 2 new hard rocking songs and had a string symphony section on stage with them for a few songs plus other memorable stuff

That's an Orange Amp through a Mesa/Boogie cabinet. Dany and Ale are Orange featured artists. Dany is endorsed by PRS (She currently has three), Orange Amps, Rick Toone Luthier (she has two Spearfish guitars), she is also endorsed by Manson Guitar Works and was given a beautiful yellow Manson guitar. She also plays a Fender Acoustasonic Telecaster and a Gibson Explorer that Lzzy Hale gifted her during their tour together in 2022. Dany uses a Kemper pedal/effects board. Ale is endorsed and a feature artist of Spector, she was gifted two Spector Euro IV's by a really generous fan in 2018. She had given as a Kickstarter reward her White Spector Euro IV but has kept her Spector Rachel Bowlen Signature Euro IV. In 2019 she went to the Spector offices in New York and designed her custom Spector USA Custom NS5-XL 5-String Bass she calls Ale's Inferno which she received when the band went to New Jersey in the fall of 2020 to record the new album Error, she has since aquired a blue Spector USA Custom NS5-XL 5-String Bass. Dany, Pau and Ale are endorsed by In-Earz in ear monitors. Pau is sponsored by Vic Firth and Sabian (I really hope DW Drums comes through and sponsers her). And they use Ableton live, that Pau programs and controls with her Apple laptop that she controls with 3 Roland foot triggers (Play, stop and pause).

One song I would definitely recommend would be (When I'm Alone) preferably live at Teatro Metropolitan. This masterpiece of a song was written by Dany at the age of 15, while she along with Ale and Paulina were attending Berklee College of music in Boston, Massachusetts. She had an assignment to write a song and for the life of her could not think of anything or write anything, and the night before the assignment was due, she was on a vlog in tears talking about being extremely homesick and after that the song was born and the rest was history. She wrote that song in one night at 15 years old, thousands of miles from home, depressed, lonely, and homesick. That is fucking impressive! Another one I would definitely check out from that same concert would be (Martirio), It is one of their 2 songs sung in Spanish, but it is an epic fucking masterpiece. Also, you really can't go wrong with any of their catalog of music. From their first album, 21st century blood, or their second album, Queen of the Murder Scene, or their third album Error

Great reaction to one of my faves! The Warning has cut three albums and two EPs, with another album coming soon. I think the reason you didn't hear a lot of crowd noise is that the raw audio came straight off the mixing board. The crowd of over 3,000 was actually quite animated. If you want to bounce around a little, you'll be going back to their teens and younger. Muse's Hysteria performed at their school (Liceo) when Ale was 10, their OMV cover of Pretender, and their award-winning original OMV of XXI Century Blood. Dust to Dust, like many tunes from their concept album Queen of the Murder Scene, is best taken in context, although the ones that stand alone best are those performed at this same venue, including the title track.

Gr8 reaction! TWA🤘 This song is from the album Queen of the murder scene. The Warning is the only band in the world whose 2 album is a concept album. Add to that the fact that it's a very powerful album. Dark and heavy. It tells a story of an unrequited love, which leads the protagonist through a sea of despair, madness and death. Written by these 18, 16 and 13-year-old girls. We can't help but be appalled by such genius.

Dust to Dust is the prolog to the story: -- Crimson Queen - at Lunario CDMX (Album debut show) -- Ugh! -- same show -- Sinister Smiles -- same show -- Dull Knives - same show -- Title Track - Queen of the Murder Scene - same show -- P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C. - same show -- The End -- same show Single - Narcisista (2019 -- at Foro Didi (debut of the sing Live) Error (2022): -- any song from the album live from Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 2022 Welcome to the Rabbit Hole!

They are playing ShipRocked in Feburary. The English translation to the Spanish lyrics are: Brother, salvation is something that is earned Let go of your hand of resentment and Awaken to a new light within you Even if your siblings try Plunge into darkness This is a prayer by a priest to the deceased. "Dust to Dust" is the prolog to the concept album "Queen of the Murder Scene", their 2nd studio album released Nov. 2017. They said writing songs to fit a narrative was different as each song has to fit the story and they didn't want any filler songs. They said this about their 2nd album, at the ages of 13, 16, and 18! The basic premise of the story is a girl who is ignored by someone she is infatuated with, and that rejection leads her into severe jealousy, spiraling into a complete breakdown and murder. Then when she thinks she is invincible and she can take whomever she wants without consequence, the grim reaper comes for her. And the last song of the album "Stars Always Seem to Fade" ties in with "Dust to Dust". Indicating the circle of death and rebirth. They didn't mean it to be that way but accidentally that's how it worked out.

I'd recommend jumping around between their first, "21st Century Blood', and their third "Error", then Queen Of The Murder Scene as a complete album. Songs from that taken out of context will make less sense, like pulling songs out The Wall to listen to by themselves.

They are not metal or even hard rock , they do have songs with elements of those styles but what the warning is , they are very superb ROCK BAND . So don’t have expectations of metal , they have some songs that teeter that way and hard rock but they are great rock band . Think more like bands like the foo fighters , muse , who they both have opened for . This more so what the warning are , a great solid fun Rock band with not a bad song

If you’re interested in checking out a different type of Pau lead vocals I’d recommend another song from this show called 23. Another good one is called Black Holes which has a few good recordings available. Pau plays this on keyboards. Pau has an amazing beauty and vulnerability to her voice during their ballad style songs that will engender a deep emotional reaction.

As far as the crowd being subdued. They weren’t as crazy as the South American crowds from last month but I think a lot of the crowd noise is filtered out unless it added something to the recording. They have songs like Narcisista where the crowd sings along or Pau invites them to sing lines from the song. It’s my understanding the sound for the show is from the mixing board

My biggest (and really only) knock on this show is the absolute lack of crowd noise. You know they are singing along on some big parts but they aren't in the mix at all. My favourite part about those Sth/Cen American crowds is how much they sing along to the songs.

It will really introduce him to the girls(when Dany was a few weeks from her 17th bday, and Pau was a couple if weeks away from her 15th bday. Ale had turned 12yrs old about a month prior to the performance.) They were an independent band prior to 2020, and signed with LAVA.

Dany plays through a Kemper modeling pedal through the amp du jour. The guitar in the Evolve video was through an Orange amp, as was the bass. In my opinion, all three girls have great sounds, keeping in mind that the sound is ultimately in the brains, hearts and hands.

Hi Gary, I really enjoyed your reaction to this song and Evolve. I subscribed. My recommendations would be their rendition of Enter Sandman from this concert, as well as their original cover of the song from 2014. Also, their cover of Muse’s “Hysteria” from when they played at their high school, Liceo, in 2015. Lastly, as others have suggested, Animosity, Disciple, Z, and Narcisista from this Teatro Metropolitan show. And I almost forgot, the new song SICK! from their recent show in Guadalajara! ⚡️😎

Dust to Dust is the intro song on DPA/TW's "Queen of the Murder Scene" concept album (aka QOTMS)... it is inviting you in to hear the deep, dark, and foreboding story of a young woman apparently in love with someone that doesn't even know she exists... it follows her battles between good and evil over her soul... QOTMS is one of those albums best experienced by listening to it from beginning to end in order... listening to each of the songs piecemeal and out of order is like trying to figure out a movie by catching a portion near the end, one from near the beginning, and one near the middle... yeah, it won't work out very well... as a concept album, many of us members of TWA can easily see it as a movie or Broadway stage performance... it is that good and to think it was written by them at a very young age and released as their 2nd album! i mean... whoa! who does that?? 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

For the early years, try Pau at 10 years old doing "My Life Would Suck" and the band's 2014 'Enter Sandman' cover. Next, 'Hysteria' cover at Liceo (their school). Then 'XXI Century Blood' the OMV and their cover of 'The Pretender'. Those 5 give a good view of early years and progress a few years later.

I already see some really good suggestions in the comments, but I'll throw my 2 cents in as well on stuff from earlier in their career. The most obvious suggestion is the video that started it all, their original cover of "Enter Sandman" that went viral in 2014 (kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y5ajt7t7aa-serw.htmlsi=rkkuiaNdIksWC9DI). My other "early" career suggestion would their performance of "Survive" at a TED talk in 2017 (kzread.info/dash/bejne/l4ubk7mwotCfadI.htmlsi=gkx8ccylwWsqaArE). It's scary how talented Pau is sometimes. Besides being a really good drummer, she's also a really good vocalist(in most bands she'd be the lead singer full time), *and* she's the primary songwriter for the band. If you're looking for other modern rock bands that are worth checking out, I'll quickly suggest a few: Halestorm (one of The Warnings influences, took The Warning on tour with them last year, and the lead singer is an amazing vocalist), Plush (super talented all female rock band that toured with The Warning earlier this year), and Dirty Honey (up and coming rock band with a lot of "old school" feel to their music).
