Today's video is for all of our soon to be "brothers & sisters" who have taken a small dip of the wrist into the warm, welcoming pool of Homage Watches :)
This watch is quite simply, the yardstick that I measure every other homage by...it's an icon in itself & is on the wrist or in thw watch box for many of us who love the simple 70's dive watch style made famous by Martin Sheen in Apocalypse Now...yes, it's the Steeldive SD1970....aka the Willard watch.
This was my first homage watch & to this day, I wear it more often than most & it's the watch that set me off down the rabbit-hole that I am yet to peek out of!..Thanks Steeldive!
Many of you are familiar with this watch but if you aren't....it's specs are as follows:
Sapphire Crystal, Ceramic Bezel, 200m water resistant, 316L stainless steel case, screw down crown @ 4 O'clock, Cushion case with 70's styling as per the original Seiko Dive Watch that it pays homage to. Excellent low-light visibility courtesy of the fantastically bright lume on the dial & bezel!
Powered by a Seiko NH35A, this automatic watch will give you years of service for only $115 AUD (Approx $80 USD)...and that includes shipping!

I bought one over a year ago that survived a 6-foot fall onto hard tile but it was never the same. It stopped keeping good time. I missed it so much I bought a blue 1970 a couple of months ago and that one is just as nice as my first one. I also have a Steeldive 1953 and both watches were almost perfect out of the box.
Great review once again i own three all different colours. Like wise one of the most out standing & costing comfortable watches in my collection my recent purchase being only £45 the cheapest yet.

This is my first homage watch as well. Wanted to try the case shape before saving up for the real deal and I am blown away by the sheer quality of it. I do own a real deal as well, the Seiko land tortoise rose gold, and sometimes I feel the SD1970 surpasses the tortoise in quality and wearability. Not even kidding. And the almost radioactive lume is the icing on top!
I have the Watchdives version. Cheapest watch I own and possibly my favorite. 🤷🏻♂️

Loved mine so much, I bought the blue dial version, both on stainless steel bracelet. Great video as always!

Yeah.....I like the look better than the bracelet but I think the bracelet version...for the same price is much better value.

Hi there, I don't recall the actual seller but it was on alixpress...cost me like $3 aud ....it did take a month or so to arrive though!!
