Welcome to KZread! I have the X100F and it's great. I'm old and one thing mirrorless digital cameras are missing is the optical viewfinder. The X100 and X-PRO series offer this which makes them very special. Please be safe, Ukraine will prevail!!

I had the X100S. It was a great camera in the daytime but it always struggled in low light and was just super slow. Dropped it once and it had a loose component in the viewfinder. It was still under warranty so Fujifilm replaced it with an X100T, which was a significant improvement all around. Now I have the X100V and still impressed.

@@Alex_SMK yeah, agreed. Luckily I was able to find it out of state (Washington) for retail over a year ago. Hopefully when the hype dust settles, people can find it for cheaper. This market is wild 🫠

Mine is the 9.099, I bought it brand new in 2015 for a fraction of its price and I'm still taking it to some trips shooting RAW + b/w jpeg. Also have an xpro-1 and an x-e4 (great to use with old glass)

The original X100 was my first and favorite Fujifilm camera and just loved it. Have since used the F & V, but still miss the X100... Now a Leica shooter, but would like to pickup another X100... Great video, thanks

I have my late dad’s black X100 - 4599/10,000. I’ll never part with it. I suppose one daughter will inherit it from me. The other one can have their grandpa’s class ring or something. It’s not going to replace my X100V any time, but I shoot it in monochrome exclusively and it brings back all the memories. He took 18,000 photos with it based on his iPhoto library, and I’m proud to add more from time to time. Before film recipes and the TikTok craze, we had the OG. It’s like my dad was in real life: quirky and stubborn, a little slow and occasionally maddening, but also beautiful and loyal. The sum is greater than its individual flaws. Like all of us humans.

Literally just received my limited edition x100! can't wait to set it up and get hands on! Any advice for a beginner with this camera? Great first video

Congrats on the purchase! As I suggested in the video, put it in the back button focusing mode, you'll get a better hit rate out of it. And most importantly - have fun with it!

Your pictures have lovely colour and tonality. That is all that matters.

Very cool video. I enjoyed it very much. You mentioned that the sd card can't be above 32gb or the camera won't work properly, did I get it right? This happens with any regular sd card or specifically wifi cards?

Only with the Wi-Fi adapter (and probably depends on the adapter as well, could be tricky). About the regular SD cards, I had no problems with 256gb. Thank you for watching! I appreciate it!🙏

Чудова англійська, друже! Були в мене X100, X100s, і зараз маю X100t. У першої сотки є якась своя харизма, мабудь через баєровську матрицю. Продав свою соньку і парк оптики, взагалі не жалію. На фудж фотки виходять якісь більш живі, справжні. Із ніштяків можу порекомендувати фільтр Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1/8 (або якийсь аналог). З ним тоді фотки дійсно як на плівку

Дякую! В мене теж були майже усі X100, особисто не мав тільки 100T, навіть V була, але знайшов для себе альтернативу, може якось поділюсь пізніше. Про Black Pro Mist згоден, але особисто для мене на першій X100 він не потрібен, на інших камерах користуюсь. Fuji то любов. Дякую за перегляд!

Did you edit your images in post to have that Fuji "chrome" look or are those direct exports from the camera with no raw edits in post?

Thanks for watching! Those are all Raw edited with my preset in Capture One. Literally one-click edit. OG x100 doesn't have too many film simulations to get the look I wanted for this video in the camera.

Thank you! I mostly shoot raw with this camera lately and then use my own preset in Capture One. It's like a one click edit at this point if the picture is exposed correctly. If I shoot jpeg, then it's either Astia or Provia for me, slightly underexposed. Oh, and thank you for watching!

Agreed. If you don't need the classic negative (in camera) or the sharper picture at f2 or the weather sealing for what it's worth. Definitely a great deal. And of course it comes to the point, “if you can find it for the decent price”. Had both F and the V - both are great and fun to use.

@@Alex_SMK I’ve been seeing the F model go for 700-900 used. I think it’s worth saving the $ and getting it. And sharpness on the v is a dumb point for most people because the put a black pro mist filter on it to look more like film hahaha if anything that only helps the F

What a tough choice you put yourself into... But seriously though, I've had both and while I like the color of the x100s sensor a lot (with all its imperfections), the x100f would probably be a sweet spot for me personally if I didn't have any cameras. But hey, you gotta decide for yourself. You can sell any of them pretty fast, that's for sure. Thanks for watching!

Увімкнувши це відео я очікував побачити типовий обзор яких вже тисячі на ютубі, але вже на першій секунді відео я відчув що щось тут не так. Коли у кадрі з'явилися світлини Київу, в мене в середині почалися максимально дивні відчуття, це складно пояснити словами... Всупереч моїм очікуванням, це виявилося відео від українського блогера. Дуже файного українського блогера. Відео вийшло дуже класне! Правда! Це поєднання звичайного обзору камери, із жахливою ситуацією в країні вийшло дуже якісним. Це змусить глядача замислитися над деякими речами у цьому житті. Принаймні в мене це визвало дуже дивні відчуття: щось між сумом через це все, та теплом у душі що в нас є такі файні талановиті люди. Монтаж, картинка, музика - все на вищому рівні. Ніякої води, та купи зайвого тексту. Так, є ще над чим працювати, але це лише перше відео і вже такий результат! На той момент коли я пишу цей коментр в тебе 168 підписників. Я впевнений, що коли я зайду сюди через рік результати твоєї роботи здивують мене у позитивному плані! В тебе все вийде! Плануй! Створюй! Знімай! Головне щоб це тобі приносило задоволення і позитивні емоції.

А на рахунок камери, то дійсно цікавий апарат. Я сам трішечки буває фотографую, та думаю яб навіть собі взяв такий. Спочатку думав придбати х100V, але лише один погляд на ціну пропалив мені очі ;] х100 теж файна камера, але я її ніде не можу знайти, та її ціну також. Щось мені каже що коштуватиме вона не набагато менше ніж х100V...

Інколи вони в нас все ж зʼявляються, останній раз бачив приблизно за 350-400 доларів. Але з таким хайпом навколо х100 серії у світі в принципі, не виключено, що ціна може бути вищою.

Yeah, it is slow... no way around it, especially if you're used to autofocusing. My xpro2 was a workhorse back in the day, but unfortunately it developed the shutter issue and would lock on me randomly, had to sell it. Patiently waiting for the xpro4 if it's any good. Thanks for stopping by!

I don't think the original X100(*) is good enough, I own the S model it is barely enough, at least go for the F model which is much cheaper than the V model. * After you play with it for a few weeks you will arrive at the same conclusion.

The X100F is great, don't get me wrong. Just like the V and probably even the T for that matter. The thing that you didn't specify in your statement though "enough for what exactly"? I've had multiple X100 models over the course of the last 10 years, and all of them can take great pictures. But just as I shared my thoughts in the video, you have to decide for yourself what you need the camera for. P.S. had this particular x100 for more than 2 years now, and still think it's good enough for me Cheers!

@@Alex_SMK original X100 lacks features compared to modern cameras. the worst is X100 focusing mechanism is far too slow, one mind as well use manual focus.

Just sold the x100 after using it for 12 years basically, don’t buy it if not for collection, it’s just too old tech you’ll get some nice pictures but too slow in focusing and very old features. Don’t believe the hype

Yeah, I agree, don't ever buy anything only because of the hype. 12 years - is a long time, hope you had fun with it! I'm just not ready to part with mine yet. It's exactly as I described in the video, old and not a speed demon by any means, but can it make nice pictures and make the process a bit more fun? For me, personally - yes. Thank you for watching!

@@Alex_SMK yes great review, thanks! but knowing that camera so well, seeing the hype around x100v, I would just be sad for someone buying an x100 thinking is somewhat close to the last version, is actually basically another camera in a similar form/design with crazy upgrades. Anyway the x100 is still a TANK, I took it all over the planet and delivered amazing memories, never letted me down, just carry 5/6 batteries for an entire intense day shooting.
