Butterscotch lovers! This one’s for you! Here’s a super delicious fudgy brownie-like butterscotch dessert you’ll enjoy! The flavor is rich and satisfying. You can prepare your individual butterscotch bar servings on a dish with vanilla or chocolate ice cream drizzled with your favorite sundae syrup on top such as chocolate or caramel. If you want to have extreme butterscotch flavor, top it with butterscotch syrup. Just like cookies, the bars are delicate when removing from the baking pan. Use a smaller sized thin spatula to pick up the bars for placing on a serving dish. This recipe yields 2 dozen 2-inch squares. If cut into smaller bars, will yield 32 pieces. Recipe is below. Dreamy Butterscotch Bars
Preheat oven 350° F
Lightly grease 13x9x2” baking pan
1 cup (or 6-ounce package) butterscotch chips
4 tablespoons (1/4 cup) butter
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Bake 25-35 minutes
