    Just wanted to say thank you Sam for all your hard work!! Had a chance to stay in the trailer a few night's. The battery change is awesome! Camped two nights with heat and lights. The battery used 10 percent. Love being able to control the inside temp. Thanks for making monitoring the battery such a breeze. Love the Bluetooth. Again can't thank you enough!!!😊

    The worst was when the cottonwoods trees would start dropping their seeds. They float through the air like cotton balls and it would stick to my greased balls. My balls would look like I had snowballs by the end of the day! Not anymore!

    Lot of great mods, love the decal on the back. SK does lack the rear galley but has its own unique features. Great video.

    Looking good Sam! What a lucky guy Tom is to have you as a life long friend ;) who can make all those crazy modz for him. In the big awning room, is that a light overhead? or a skylight of sorts? I thought it might be a heater at first, but thought, nah, can't be... Looking forward to seeing the next video about how you sealed up the union between the walls and floor. I think that will be an important one to watch. Happy camping everyone!

    It is an LED lightbstrip on the underside of the awning that shines down through the clear area in the ceiling of the annex room.

    I used the same poly vinyl trim board that I make the gutter spacer board below the entry door out of. I rip it down to ⅜" thickness then cut them out on a bandsaw. www.homedepot.com/p/Royal-Mouldings-12-ft-x-5-1-2-in-x-3-4-in-Cellular-Vinyl-Trim-Plank-Molding-0731112003/100004781

    I really appreciate your videos which help fellow campers. I have purchased the same size tool box you have in your video but have not started to install it yet. You moved the propane tank forward which I see will be necessary. Was it as simple as just moving it forward and drilling new holes or did you have to make any adaptations to the bracket to make it fit? Also was the propane hose long enough once you moved the tank forward. Appreciate your help. Just trying to get in front of any issues I can expect to encounter. Thank you.

    Thank you for taking the time to watch Thomas. As far as moving the lp tank forward what I do is remove the mount then cut the mounting ears off of the mount which allows me to move the tank forward as far as possible. So far all the hoses have been long enough to reach without any issue. I personally like to drill the front crossmember and install a grommet then run the lp hose through that just to get it up further off of the ground.

    Great video. Thank you for sharing. Couple questions. Is it the 2.31 cu ft the tool box you used from Harbor Freight? I am trying to figure out what I can fit on mine since I have the weight distribution brackets on the frame which seem to be in the way. Also I noticed it looked like you added to round vents in the back corners of the box. Where did you get these? Also did you use self tapping screws to secure the box tot he fram? Thank you and keep on modding!!

    Thank you for taking the time to watch. Yes, it's the 2.31 cu ft box. The vents are 2.5" mill finish round aluminum soffit vents amzn.to/48VEfbF I used #12 pan head sheet metal screws with large OD washers to fasten the tongue box to the frame. amzn.to/41ZHAUF amzn.to/3S0Q0GU

    I really like the room mods and I'm doing the same for my OKSchooners teardrop. I have to cut the zipper the same as you did. Before I do that, can you tell me how you anchored/seamed the zipper cuts in order to keep them from unzipping? Did you staple across the zipper or just sew across it? Thanks.

  • @adventuresofthememorymakers

    @adventuresofthememorymakers

    7 ай бұрын

    Sure thing. If ypur zippers are nylon like these then all you have to do is cut through them with your hot knife. The knife will melt the zipper together essentially sealing the ends. Then just sew through it like it's not there. Just use caution when pulling the room around before you sew through the zipper, it could possible pull apart on you if your not careful. Ican be a real PIA getting them back together sometimes.

    I got a 12sk a couple months ago and was looking at adding that harbor freight tongue box. I think I could see what mods you did to the propane bracket but was wondering if you had any tips for the bracket relocation and tongue box install?

  • @adventuresofthememorymakers

    @adventuresofthememorymakers

    7 ай бұрын

    Sure thing. To move the bracket just take it off the camper, cut the tabs off the sides of it, repaint, then sit on top of the frame and slide it forward till the horizontal tension screw is almost touching the tongue jack. Reuse the screws to secure it down. That will give you just enough room to put the small Harbor Freight box on the tongue. Make sure your lid will open before you mount your box to the frame. It's tight but I have always been able to get it to fit.
