    Great method 👍 great demo mate. It's very similar in theory to combination safe lock manipulation. Setting known codes and checking your contact points. You would probably be ace at that. My mince pies are terrible I would need a magnifier 😂

    If you stick a bamboo kebab skewer on the handle it makes the rotation differences really obvious. I've tried a bit of hot glue, a 3d printed cover and some blutac but found a small bulldog clip with the skewer glued to it the best. I've been using a laminated card on the outside for the scale. I do like your internal scale idea though.

    I’m with you James , everything I’ve tried because of the nature of jerking movements we are doing etc they always end up slipping somehow. What you can also do is offer a feeler gauge up as a straight edge once you’ve pressed and that is very accurate!

    Your idea of jamming a feeler in the side to stop it moving around is genius for sure. Keep up the good work, I really enjoy your videos, even though I've been doing it 24 years I find your take on things can still make me stop and think if there's a better way to use a tool.
