Bunny The Negotiator - Bunny The "Talking" Dog

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Bunny The "Talking" Dog from Tik Tok has a list of demands. They mostly include the beach...Webster's Dictionary defines adolescence as youthful, exuberant, immature, and unsettled." If that describes your puppy or young dog he/she is a normal teenaged dog. What should you do? Continue training, review the basics. Lots of patience and positive reinforcement. Set clear boundaries. More patience. Consult a licensed behaviorist if you're unsure whether the behavior is normal and acceptable.

This is amazing but,how do you train / teach a dog such an abstract concept with words like , now , soon , today , yesterday , tommorrow and love you, mad ?? I really wonder. It’s hard for me to believe they truly know the meaning of the words I listed. They might understand bare raw concept itself, but putting a sound to a concept adds another layer of complexity to their skills in understanding/communication. What I mean is ( very very loose example), I might understand what the color red is, however, if you told me to explain what red is to a blind person, that takes another set of skills altogether. Or if I didn't know what red is called, and someone tried to teach me how to VERBALLY & AUDIBLY how the word " RED" sounds, that's a very very difficult process I think for a dog to learn.

I just wonder HOW do you train a dog to know the different between "now/later,today/tommorrow./yesterday" concepts like "love you "is difficult too, but I still think it's EASIER than something like what I've mentioned above. It's almost like teaching them monday, tues etc. that's very very difficult to convey.

Stella (@hungerforwords) also has found creative ways to use language. When her button for Beach broke, she said "help water outside". Billi the cat (Billi Speaks) also got creative. She wanted to play with her catnip toy that is shaped like a beaver, but she didn't have a word for Beaver. She did have a word for her favorite stuffed toy, which is a stuffed bunny, so she called the beaver "catnip bunny". I knew cats and dogs were smart and understood language, but I never fully grasped how good their understanding is.

Bunny asking "when walk?" is actually pretty astounding. for a long time animal/human communications have been practiced and its widely recognised that no animal has ever actually asked a question - acknowledging that we as humans might know things that they dont. Coco the gorilla learned to understand a plethora of words and could display and convey emotion when asked how she was feeling, but she never asked anyone a question. it might be a pretty innocent home video with your dog but this is actually really interesting. do you know of any other dogs asking questions in that way? "Compromise," haha! Your syntax is very interesting, as if you were verbalizing sign language to a very small child. You two are developing a new type of communication. I eagerly await each and every video to see how this progresses. Thank you for sharing! A question on the Wyze cam setup: you have it on continuous record, but how do you personally collect the footage? Have the updates ever destroyed your SD cards?

On them developing a "new type of communication", I would assume one of the big problems extrapolating from these studies is that bond between her and Bunny. If the language use only emerges in relation to their dynamic it might prove difficult to draw results relating to the world at large.

  • @rev.rachel

@@PattPlays For sure. Most everyone trying this with their pets talks about how important it is to have that bond in place outside of the words, and to be able to understand your pet's body language and meows and so on decently well before training the buttons.

Sign languages focus on the most important parts first, so you got a point. They have to boiling it down to the important words to make it easier to understand for the dog and less risk of confusion for both of them, I guess? But there are quite a difference in between how they speak with the dog and the order of signs in the sign languages I recognize or know to some degree. Sadly, I don’t have the brain ability to explain it. Brain fatigue is disabling.

@@kongke77 I'm watching Billi too. It's kinda interesting that i find cat and dog perspectives are different. Billi is more focus on simple demand base on her emotion and her need for satisfaction. While Bunny is more focus on more complicate demand base on her curiosity. And Bunny is so smart that she can understands the concept of basic questions "What-When-Where-Why-How" and time too. I wonder if Bunny could understand the concept of reflection and could she teach her puppy to understand buttons too when she gave birth. This could be a revolution of how we communicate with pet and animal in the future. 10 years from now these Button-com might be a must in every pet owner's house. And from animal's side they might develop a new communication too.

I love that she just stands there and stares. Like “mom, I want my way and I want it now!” I have a 5 yr old, very stubborn lab lol. Sometimes I wish she could talk, but the more I watch Bunny I’m like ehhhh, be grateful she can’t get too sassy with you lol! Plus, I’d be in trouble since I can’t say no to her 😂 I’m sure you have a hard time with that also! Do you notice that her nonverbal actions aren’t as present since she has another way of talking? One of our labs with just plop down and roll over if she wants belly rubs. She’s our pup that does talk a lot which I love! I love her puppy voice. And when they know it’s treat time (because they can tell time lol) they get so hyper. when they want a walk we just know because of the way they’re acting. Normally dogs have to communicate with us in non verbal ways. So I was just wondering if the buttons have taken that place.
