I felt the same way for a while. The kids these days under 22 who make up KZread's most favored demographic are driving up the traffic to that kind of content. As they grow up, some of them will discover these gems.

this man has average skill, he use too many modern tools, machineries and factory made liquid or something whatever the name. Not a respectfull boat maker for most of Indonesian youtube watchers.

@@nawangwulan1714 The man is undoubtedly very skilled and professional. The fact that he does not bite wood with his teeth or work it with prehistoric flint seems to me to be normal in a civilized world. If the entire product is improved by using modern composite materials that will strengthen the boat and allow the boat to be kept longer in an impeccable and beautiful condition, that is also fine. I like to reward with praise even a skilled worker in the jungle who can carve a ship with an ax from a single piece of trunk.

There is something tremendously satisfying about witnessing a craftsman make something so beautiful, especially if like this canoe it's useful. Thank you! Despite the delay... I am highly appreciative of your attention to detail, your steady and focused work, and how you bring your vision to life. You are a high craftsman! I was raised partly in north-middle Minnesota in the mid-1950s (the lake district, due east of Fargo-Morehead). Cedar strip canoes and boats were the kings of the lakes, and outboard motors were just coming on the market, so you rarely heard one. The quiet beauty of a sunrise on the lake in a [cedar strip] canoe was and is still... priceless. Thank you for sharing your superb craftsmanship!

There should be some available through specialty stores on line or you can ask the guys at Boat Craft in Edmonton. I do have my strong back and forms available if you are interested. The forms are the same on both versions, just the spacing is shorter. If you want to contact me, my number is 780-723-1596. Cheers. Andre.
