It's gonna be a really short future for him.
Gotta love the professional use of safety squints

Or just put your fucking hood on and look at what your doing
Was there a “I’ll paint it outside...on second thought, let’s bring it inside” moment? Fucking awesome dude.

Probably the sand blast station.
congrats man, absolutely gorgeous. word of advice , add some minimizer style fenders over the rear dual wheels to keep the rocks and mud off the cross members of the bed, this is a steel bed if the paint gets chipped it'll corrode.
Bad ass truck & bad ass bed build. Your a professional sir. My hat is off too you
Welding hood sure does look nice
You definitely got one hell of a shop kudos to you brother
A business logo on the front at the top like the one on the rear would look really good when coming down the road from the front.
I'm not sure why you didn't make the rack forklift loadable but it is still a Beautiful build.
Congratulations Paul. 👍🏼
That truck is AWESOME Paul!! I've been considering building a custom rig for welding / mobile repair, but I doubt I will build the bed ANYWHERE near as heavily built as yours!! Good luck with the truck!
Look - out we have another Mad Mad scientist great video paul
Awesome build!
I love it and I’ve loved hearing about it on the Podcast and on Instagram. Only thing I’d say, video-wise is i would have preferred to see the installation of the boxes and welder and stuff instead of 3 minutes of forklifting the bed outside only for it to be right back inside when it was finally out. I don’t mean to take anything away from the build, I think it’s awesome 👍🏻
Came out awesome!!
That looks great!!! Nice work.
Beautiful channel I am a follower from the country of Morocco 👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤
Just outstanding matey!!
Been looking forward to seeing the truck build ! Great build 👍👍Loving the podcast and stock tips 😉
That is a beautiful rig
Enjoyed the show
That Looks awesome great job!
Killer rig 💪
Massive job. Add some chain link and you can hold MMA fights inside. Awesome job. Great film. So evnvious of that space suit.🙂 Mahalo for sharing!🙂🐒
Very talented young man
You are one talented dude Good job
Hey Paul that was a great video Educational / Entertaining in one fantastic video. Really I learned so much . That is WAY above the beds out there , you were correct to build your own . You might get a call from someone who needs a ABOVE standard Custom bed . Stay well Paul.
Nice looking rig
COOL PICKUP🤘🏻
Love your shop
Damn that’s ideal af! I love this!
I love it😎😎
Dang!! That's nice!
Man.. That is an awesome truck bed sir! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
That’s a proper rig! Congrats, man. Cheers from Vancouver. 👌🏼
What would be awesome to see is like a little clock in the corner showing how long it actually took you to do it all. I know welding is a slow process just to make sure it's done right 👍🏻
Putting plexiglas strips on top of ladder rack rails not only lets material slide easier on it but protects your paint too. 3M vhb (very high bond) double stick tape works great for that. Very nice build

UHMW plastic may be better than plexiglass/lexan. Not sure its UV resistance though.
What a killer build. You are an a epic fabricator Paul. Thank you for sharing all you do.
Fire
probs for building this whole thing alone :D
This is the first time I've seen your channel so I could be wrong in my assessment but are you sure You super lucky to get it?? Maybe more like blessed, Don't discount yourself or all the hard work you've put in to get to the point you are in life
starting with sexy truck and making it BadAss. nice job.
Nice work...that bed looks like it weighs as much as the truck herself 😂
My dream.....gooddddd job....
bad ass truck man i subbed
So is Fairfield Welding Works your company?
Good job, so happy the welding business is taking off. Will you be doing any more forging work in the future??
such great work paul, might be a stupid question but how did you fix the bed onto the truck?
Are you using your torch height control when you cut out the headache rack?
Good
Working in the same state I've always seen your rig i never knew you had a youtube
You should show how you attached the bed to the truck frame. Did your weld it directly to the frame, did you weld tabs to the crossmembers and bolt it to the frame or what did you do?
Paul, watched the progress on IG but, this was a great overview. You were right, you could make something better and stronger ! Awesome build!
I love the build but in my personal opinion I think its over kill for the purpose of the bed I also build flat bed for a industry and we only do this type of beds for forklift load
Not sure what to say about that truck other than what a fucking monster. Absolutely massive
💪😎
Great rig, how do you like the Buyers?
Heavy. How much payload can the rig carry?
Does that rack make a bunch of noise going down the road? We have a new scelzi body rig that needs a rack and I dont want it to make a bunch of wind noise.
Question: what preventative measure do you take to prevent damaging the vehicle's electronics when you're welding on the flatbed?

He removed the negative cables from both batteries
What is the total weight of this thing?
@chadkennedy529

Heavy a fuck I belive is the weight. He's not gonna brake it thats for sure.
@reaperreaper5098
Жыл бұрын
Too heavy. It’s massively overbuilt, especially for a medium duty cab & chassis. He could ditch half of the cross members and it’s still be one of the more overbuilt beds out there. Though, better to be overbuilt than underbuilt.
@Paul Pinto…which PAPR and helmet combo are you using; I’m in the market in for one. Awesome build and awesome shop! I’ve been a sub for a while! Thanks for sharing your idea and mechanical engineering with the rest of us!
I hope those cross members are beefy enough to hold your tool boxes
Yee new pinto video.🙂
Did you see the squat the truck did, that is a heavy build to add on to that truck, would structural Alum not be a better option?
What primer do you guys use and what paint for metal
Did you weld it to the trucks frame
Bro are you forged in fire champion
Holy ! Good thing you got the 5500 with all the steel that's in the bed Overkill , over weight
Single cab 😔 I hope you don't regret it.
A lot of heavy duty metal = a lot of extra weight
Amazing....hope your parents are around of you.
Hi Paul Pinto i am a fan for u after seeeing u in forged in fire plzzz give a replay for me...
Andddd there goes your payload lol
I have two trailers for taking metal to jobsites but that's just me
forged in fire
You gonna super chip this thing? I know a guy
So awsome, can't wait too see it get all fucked up 😆 👍
Holy shit budd what are you putting on this rig? that bed has to weigh 3k lbs.
The low hum in the video was giving me a headache you might like to check what’s making it and stop it if possible of course
@zawisiak3708
3 жыл бұрын
it was a welder on a welders channel whilst the whole video was about welding. What did you expect?
¿Do you need to get it certified or something by the DMV? After all this weight, ¿ how much load can you carry on it ? I totally understood the back panel design, I hope it's a thick plate though.
@TAKINGADIP
3 жыл бұрын
He's not leaving much room on the payload and his gas mileage is going to suck because of how beefy built everything
Are you sure that’s not a delivery truck?
really cool project, allthough i got to admit i am not a fan of diesel powered cars
Where’s ya helmet dude?? Don’t get arc flash
You put on burning goggles, but no safety! 🤔🤷🏾🤣
Nothing that fits your needs so you build it yourself. Does that make it a special needs truck?
people are looking for how you start the business before the money not with money
Bad @$$
bruh that is way much weight for that setup. push the extra weight to a high tensile trailer and take care of your truck man. sillyass installation. Tellin you right now- load that rack up with steel and drive it around over bumps and you will toast your suspension on a high value truck. Need to learn how to trailer to displace load.
Absolute overkill, over weight . That 4wd (not a truck) doesn’t need that much reinforcement . Americans…..
bro why the hell didnt you just buy a older truck.. that truck will cost you your lifetime 😂 idiotic to me honestly ive been broke my whole life but my account is decent. humble yourself. geez dudeee
NEVER hire a "professional" who does not use proper safety protocols and gear. Accidents happen and are ALWAYS exasperated when they happen without proper gear/protocols in play. Sorry you would never do any work for our family because looking away from a welder while using it is one of the most idiotic things you can do when working with superheated metal
