That's good to hear. My impression of Oregon is based on KZread, which tends to feature a lot of Portland hippies attacking people and blocking traffic. I know of another KZreadr in Oregon (pretty sure I have the state right) that goes by Wranglerstar. He and this gentleman here are guys that I wish I knew.

jw11432 Portland eugene and Medford are really the only places like that. wranglerstar is somewhere in the mountains to the east of Portland not sure exactly and don't look because I respect his privacy. Scott is dead between Eugene and Medford in Roseburg. it's absolutely beautiful around here. as for geography Oregon is interesting. we have the costal ranges, cascades and the high desert. from the coast ranges to the ocean is a between 20 feet and 20+ miles. it's all temperate forest. between the coastal range and Cascades is the valleys Roseburg and the 3 big cities fall into. fairly moderate but get really nice in the summer. east of the Cascades is the high desert and bend. it's pretty much like nevada out there. lots of circle farms however.

This is what was explained to me. I am not giving legal or accounting or tax advice. I am repeating this for your benefit. Keep every receipt and write on it exactly what it is for later reference. Some items are treated as an expense in the tax year of purchase and others are depreciated over a period of years - there is a big difference. Read Internal Revenue Code Section 179 which can give wonderful financial benefits to a business. It allows you to treat certain items as both a total expense in the year purchased AND also depreciate the item over a period of years. Yes, allowed double deduction. When you have a real business you need to take steps to protect yourself and assets from potential future liability claims. Even in the best situations liability risk can develop - why we have liability insurance. So hire a lawyer to create an LLC or equivalent in your state. Then ask him to create contracts or whatever for your involved in your business. Also hire a good accountant to keep records, give financial direction and advice, and prepare tax returns and documents.

Depending on how your business expenses are structured, and if you were to use the vehicle for non-business purposes, you may only be able to deduct the percent used for business. But yeah, since the expenses reduce reported income, it's like getting 20-30% back on what you spend on your vehicle.

Can't say I've had the roughest life, but my dad was a boatswain's mate in the Navy - coming off a farm - and did other physical jobs in his career. My mother was a licensed practical nurse. They both stressed proper body mechanics. Began my work career as a temporary laborer. Used to jump off truck docks until an older worker cautioned me to avoid doing that to protect my back. I made the connection that I only had so many jumps in my back before I'd have problems.

13 minutes of golden knowledge right there-thank you for all these videos. My only thought on the overall setup might be storing the most frequently used items on the passenger/curb side of the truck so you’re not exposed to as much traffic when parked on the street. I know from other videos you are often on a dedicated worksite or rural area so this is more of a suggestion for urban environments. Love your videos. It’s like getting back lost time with my dad/grandpa. I miss those days with them learning man stuff.

Recently I've started selling kit I make to others and it's pretty rewarding to be contacted out of the blue by someone wanting to buy my kit. Love the videos. This one also is close to my heart. I have a 7.3 box truck laid out all the way down to the hammers hanging and outlined in sharpie. Which I seem to get teased on but I know when ones missing. I feel the same as you do about your truck. Nice videos keep them coming. Thank you.

Love the videos!

What is really nice is having a roller on the back of the roof rack. It can be a bit lower than the surface so the load wont rest on it. A roller is great to load lumber and ladders, it is a breeze.

What a great design and efficient use of every inch of space! As soon as I saw the preview of the video, I just knew that those models of Ford would not let you down. I am from Texas and we love trucks, but not everyone understands which trucks are the real tanks and which are just made of "plastic". The way you expressed your thoughts about the truck sure made clear what you have gotten from it, only great performance. I am only 23, but trust me when I say this, I've been through quite enough, work, college, etc... and I know a thing or two. In my house we have 3 Fords 7.3s and some other regular pickups. Those turbo diesel engines never fail! I love the channel, learning as much and as fast as I can. I am about to build my first 2 story little apartment in the back of my house for myself and I hope I can apply what I've seen so far and done in the past. Keep up the great work! Thank you for passing on your knowledge, that's all we can leave behind. I know that Oregon is a beautiful state, I hope I can visit one day. God bless y'all!

Nice video. I agree about the Ford diesels. I had an 86 F350 with the 6.9 and 4 spd. Loved it. The best part of the video is when he gets in, starts it up (and you hear the engine's growl) and he drives away.
