I learned two things in this video. One, how to build cabinets. Which will come in handy since we are starting on our tiny house soon. The second thing I learned is whoever is singing that song really likes the sound of funky music. I now have a case of Involuntary Musical Imagery. All joking aside thanks for this video. I think it is the best one showing how cabinets are built and helped me a lot.

I am building my kitchen cabinets right now as well! I did mine 36 tall and 26 deep. I am a tall human so I like that I dont have to bend over the sink. We are supposed to be getting all kinds of sun this week so I hope to get the countertop made and MAYBE put the sink in... MAYBE. You guys are doing awesome and I love that we are both working on the same area at the moment. Go us!

G'day bloody good job Meredith and you can tell that it was a hot inside and you were battling through it. They look great you can really see how it's all going to go the cabinets are nice and square and are strong, that wood you used is very nice and will look good once you treat it. If I could just say before you put the sink in it's not a bad idea to waterproof inside the cabinet below with something like Thompson's waterproof seal. Once again spot on kind regards John

No tips yet! We got to the bus late and still needed to put some walls up so we did that then got the bigger pieces cut for the cabinets! That's all I really needed help with because I can't carry the plywood by myself. Now I can cut the smaller pieces and put it together myself while my partner goes out of town for a week. Then when he comes back we'll put more walls up!

Wow wow woooooo!!!! Those cabinets are coming out AWESOME! Love the thought you put into them on placement and for making'em square! One thing we thought about while watching, is that you could totally make "secret" toe-kick drawers utilizing the void space under the bottom cabinet! Use some magnet latches or something (Shhhh! We won't tell anyone! They're secret!). That Birch looks awesome! What species of birch is it? We used Baltic Birch and the grain is SOOOO much lighter than the nice grain on your's! Keep rocking it! We believe in you! - Brian + Erin

I like your in situ method of building the cabinets. Pretty slick. I did have a concern about your water heater... is there appropriate clearance for any venting of heat above it if the sink is there? I would use the side door to pull the shopping cart up beside the bus and put bags under the sink when you take the bus on the road... easier to unload groceries that way.
