Except James is also the only host on this show they trust enough to put in a Bugatti Veyron making him the fastest

So they put Jeremy, who is in no measurable way handy despite being a doctor of engineering in charge of bodywork and design, James, who has no grasp on the concept of speed, in charge of power, and Hammond, who is apocalyptically accident-prone, in charge of the chassis, and the brakes, which he is physically incapable of using.
