That power station is beautiful! It has such a late 1800's Industrial Revolution feeling to it. I can't wait to see what you have planned for the surrounding area. I've liked everything you've done so far but this one is definitely my favorite!

HAHA! I was going to cut out that jump scare, and then thought I am going to leave it and see who notices! I jumped so high!! Steam power is really amazing and it helps with power, as it produces so much of it. The Blaze Cake one will produce even more as it gives more Heat to the Burners. The Mesa is slowly becoming my favorite area... Appreciate the comment!

Love the powerstation! so glad you got one up and running. A little tidbit of information however, is that if you replace the barrels on the side of the engine room that acts as lava input with tunnels, you can remove the issue of all the buckets being priorotised to the end barrel and backlogging there as andesite tunnels simply split one item off (im not sure how it would work with non stackable items but its worth a shot) and brass tunnels can be configured to split items. Other than that love your work and I cant wait to see where you take this series.

Man! I really like your idea of dropping the engines down in that pit! I realized I tend to build my power on an even surface with everything else, and then pulling it down, but your build adds a lot more character and depth! I'm going to rework my current factory design to mimic this (despite the pain in the ass); it'll just look so much cooler!!

Really glad you like it! I also planned mine flat originally and when it came to adding the water I wondered if I could make it a feature somehow, and this was born. So glad I did it in the end. Well all I can say is good luck with moving/changing it and do share some picture when you are done. Would love to see what it looks like! Appreciate the comment!

What I like most is how it adjusts for the contents of the Ember Express. Like, if the train is mostly empty from filling up the blaze cake factory, it only takes from the back cart. But if the blaze cake factory is full of lava, it deposits all the lava here.

  • @Deosil25

Think the overflow System worked pretty well. I recently however noticed that the train completely empties when it reaches the Mesa. So might have to add another Cart real soon. Glad you liked the Idea behind it and I appreciate the support.

Dude, the factory looks amazing. I love the fact you dug it into the ground. Gives it an almost nuclear feeling. It fits perfect in the badlands. Have you thought about doimg a glazed terracotta factory. I know it doesnt have much practicalness but a dash of colour in builds will look good and also the way you make the clay to turn to terracota and to get the dyes to mix together would be pretty interesting. I genuinely hope your really proud of your work as its awesome and its inspired me to start a new world using the new crafter table and tuff blocks .

As beautiful as that powerplant is, I didnt see the aforementioned "pile of coal" you wanted to have. I am just teasing though. It's a gorgeous building. Also, my recommendation would be twofold. Use each engine as a separate power source, though not necessary it is neater. Secondly, use clutches and redstone links at each farm, and have a control room in the loft area of the power plant with levers you can pull to turn power on and off to the various farms. If you haven't already then you can alter the block distance of red stone links in the create config. So they can activate even at a decent distance. Something else you could consider is adding controls into the loft area that let you turn the lava bucket flow on and off. Blaze Burners provide passive heat even without fuel, enough to run your steam engines at a lower rate. Which is all you really need unless you're powering permanent, chunk loaded farms. Plus its kinda cool to go "power up" the station. I know your lava buckets are infinite and all that. But still.

NOTES! Making so many NOTES! Kodasa_sinclair these recomendations are Golden and I am adding them to the episode discussion. I love the Idea of having the Loft be a Control station for all the farms. So really going to do that. Been focusing on a lot of Exteriors and would be nice to fill the insides of some of these buildings. I also opted for the Steam engines powering different "Districts" in the area. Just looks neater like you mentioned. I appreciate the comments and you being part of the community!

Fantastic video! And fantastic build! That is a lot of SU to work with, all encased in a neat little build. As per usual, your incorporation of bits of nature into your builds, and the tiny pieces of detail/clutter, really bring it all together and make it feel more alive. The building looks nice overall. The only problem I have is that I think you are over doing it with the overgrown bushes and foliage on the buildings. It makes sense in a lush green forest biome, but in a hot dry mesa there shouldn't be such overgrowth, especially not up the side of buildings where it would be even harder for the plants to get water. If your buildings were right on the edge of a river you could get away with having a little more vegetation, but where your builds are now, I think it is too much. Also the trees I think are just the wrong type of trees for that biome and are way too tall. Trees don't grow very big and tall in places with little to no water. You could use Oak and Acacia trees but remove a few of the leaves to make them look more dry and better fit with the biome. And keep all the shrubs and bushes small and at ground level. As for other things you could build just to make your mining town look nice, a small well in the center of the mining town. (The miners of course need somewhere they can get water.) Some clusters of tents scattered around the town. (The miners need some place to sleep, eat, and live when they are done with work for the day.) An old western style windmill. (It doesn't need to power anything, but it could be a cool thing to see on the outskirts of town as you are riding the train in and out of town. Maybe on the small hill in-between the steam power station and the river.) An old western style water tower. (Also doesn't have to actually do anything, but could be another cool set piece for the town.) 🤔

Vis! So many good suggestion and things I am learning from you. I need to do CreateMod stream where I can do all these kind of "decorative" builds and finally get the areas better decorated (Wells, Bridges, Tents and so forth). As for the water shortage... 😂Yeah, you make so much sense. I wanted to do like a custom body of water, but might just change the Greenery up a bit. Think these can be fun little "Stream" projects. I really appreciate the suggestions and will see to implementing some of these! I appreciate your comment and suggestions!

@@Deosil25 Yeah, you could also dress up the train bridge a bit by adding some big iron trusses for support, like a lot of old train bridges have. As for the foliage, maybe have some kind of rule to limit how much you can use based on how far away you are from a natural body of water. For example; a Minecraft chunk is 16x16 blocks, so at water level with at least 1 block of water from the river within that chunk you could have 256 foliage blocks. Enough to cover the ground in 1 layer of leaf blocks. But of course you would likely want to have some of the small shrubs and bushes be 2 or maybe even 3 blocks tall, so you wouldn't just carpet the ground with leaf blocks. For each chunk you move away from the river you get -8 foliage blocks, and for each block up in elevation you also get -8. (Take the lowest and highest natural ground block in a chunk then average both numbers to get the elevation number for that chunk.) Not 100% sure how this will look because I never tested it, but it should make things look like they make more sense. You might want to survey a few chunks in the area to see how they will look, then adjust the numbers a bit if needed. Could go with -6 or -4 for elevation if it turns out a bit too extreme. But what you should see is that there will be more foliage in lower areas even if they are farther away from the river than a tall hill that is very close to the river. This makes sense because water naturally flows down hill, so lower areas should have a higher number of foliage blocks in them. You of course don't have to always use the max number of blocks, but I think putting a hard cap on it will help make foliage builds make more sense in hot dry places like a mesa biome. ( For a pure desert I would go with even more extreme numbers like maybe -16 or -32 per chunk/elevation, and if you were playing on a Large Biome world I would go with the numbers a bit different as well.) Also maybe +8 for a well, (Only build one) and maybe +32 if you build some kind of reservoir or something else. (Same rules apply as the river.) I might have to make some kind of chart or graph for stuff like this. 😅
