My husband wondered for a long time what I was watching with this young couple in all the snow. Then he decided to sit down and watch with me. Then every Monday and Friday morning he would ask “ Are Trent and Allie on yet?” NOW you have made his dream come true with the TRUCK build. He, in his younger days rebuilt and old old truck and watching you do this is bringing back all kinds of memories. Trent, he is watching you closely so don’t mess up, cause his whole career was working with automobiles, trucks, and anything with a motor. Thanks for making him so very happy.

I'm 83, just about done with a ground up build of a 350cc Grand Prix motorcycle in my bedroom. The bike ended up there because I'm in a wheelchair and unable to reach my shop where my tools and special tools are resting but that's OK. I started watching Trent and Allie years ago when I had the strokes, began to follow them and their friends on the other side of the Nation Josh and his family and this gave me motivation to watch them while I came back from all the stroke stuff except I can't walk, so into a wheelchair and start doing somehing again. I was a pro racer and loved to wrench on my racing motorcycles and ride the Hell ut of them on the west coast tracks. Now with Trent doing this I'm on episode 2.

All of this brought to you by Trent and Allie's incredible success in building a KZread channel we followed for years. Their bright, engaging presence made them a magnet both for viewers AND for advertisers who paid for promotion spots during their twice weekly videos. Clearly, they're making a bundle of money to support their lifestyle. I couldn't be happier for them. Honestly, I'd much rather watch what they're up to than ANYTHING offered on television. Have a blast Trent with your toys. I've spent time on my back under cars getting grease in my eyes so I'm enjoying this as well as your garage build. We haven't seen much of your van build company, but I imagine that is another moneymaker for you both. Couldn't happen to better people.

So glad you and your guy fans have a place to hang out each week, Trent. I am only watching to help with the algorithm. :D In my youth (1970s), I hung out with my dad in his garage. He could fix anything pretty much. He also was the guy in the neighborhood who changed tires for everyone (he made paper as his full-time job). Dad had a tire changer machine and a balancer (the tire would sit on it and he would add weights to the wheel). So fun! The garage was a busy place until one day someone tattled on him and he couldn't do the tires anymore. He was saving the neighbors tons of money!

Trent, I enjoy watching both of your channels. For your lift AW32 is the most commonly used oil & recommended by most MFG's The most common causes for a lift to be going down slow like yours is cables being over tight or a restriction in the HYD system.. In some cases the sceen on the lowering valve will get clogged up with Teflon. That is an easy one to check & resolve. Depending on how cold the oil is that could be a factor however i have only noticed it affecting up speed not down. Keep up the Great WORK!

Pull on the downward facing cable roughly a foot above the stud. They do not need to be "winch cable tight" as their main function is balance or equalization.. hit me up if you need to. We worked on many a motor and found a swing set (Heavy duty one) did a great job of holding the engine where it was wanted. We attached a come-along to the engine so it went high or low at just a flip of the come-along switch (heavy-duty come-along as well as a heavy-duty chain). With the swing frame, you can put it wherever you want and even move it yourself. I would put some 4 ply (or 6) plastic under the engine part to keep it from draining oil etc. while moving it around. I thought you were building a rock climber??? So a monster truck haw? Good show.

You might want to do what we do at our shop and ratchet strap the frame down to the lift arms. That will help prevent the truck from lifting off and falling.

Another way of holding the engine is to put a chain over the beam. If you don't have one now that's big enough, put one in, it will be used a lot.
