Soils testing being done as preparation for construction of a new home in Colorado. This information is taken to the engineers so that the foundation can be designed specifically for the house we are building.

Can I do the soil test my self

Hmm? The cost to engineer would normally exceed the cost to simply over design the foundation....must be a huge and heavy house.14'? We used to drill only 20' for a warehouse or 2 story office building

Just so you know this is so not how it should be done. Drilling is not tech demanding but can be very dangerous. With moving augers and cat head (the thing he put his rope on to lift the hammar) it only takes a second to lose a body part or even a life. Please Please Please be very careful if doing soil tests.
