Just fyi you are incorrect in your description on your steel the first number is the size the second number is the weight per foot. Not gauge of material.

These anti-siphon valves are the worst thing ever if you use a pressure washer/foam canon to wash your cars. They introduce lots of air into every device hooked to the faucet and create havoc all along the way. They waste expensive soap and lots of time in to process. I want to tear this mechanism out of my sill cock. How did we ever survive without these "great" ideas.

New home basement rough ins for tube, sink and toilet is venting not needed? I don't have a vent rough in. Is it not needed being these rough ins are last in the system with a low level drain to septic system?

You have a great way of complicating what isnt actually complicated. What is required, is to have a registered surveyor establish the lot corners. Then with a plot plan showing the exact home location on the lot, along with a set of the home plans, a qualified home builder can set up what are called batter boards. Which establish all the corners of the home as well as floor levels. The batter boards are offset from the actual corners so as to not be damaged by the excavation process, and will be used for the excavation, and all foundation work, after which they are no longer required. As for the elevation of the floor level with regard to the street level, the street in this instance was already in place. So using a distant bench mark isnt necessary or even advisable, just use the actual street level in front of the house. In subdivisions where streets are not yet in place, the surveyor can while staking the lot corners also place a stake with a benchmark for the street elevation. And thats all the builder will need for his work.

This is for "your" faucet lol. Ppl make vids and know what they know, but just enough to mislead majority.....there are many different styles. They are NOT standardized, and not all caps pop off !! Some screw off, some pop off and some are permanently made on and Don come off at all.

*I am thinking to use a 5 inches schedule 80 for underground plumbing under the basement floor. So that I would, hopefully, never have to dig the basement floor to deal with broken or narrow pipes. Cost doesn't bother me. Are there any other drawbacks to this idea?* *We originally had 3 inches iron pipe under the basement floor and had a nightmare with the kitchen drain that clogged it with grease and all under the basement floor. I don't wanna deal with it again.*

Just so you know this is so not how it should be done. Drilling is not tech demanding but can be very dangerous. With moving augers and cat head (the thing he put his rope on to lift the hammar) it only takes a second to lose a body part or even a life. Please Please Please be very careful if doing soil tests.

I would NEVER air test PVC pipe, because it can explode, causing serious injury or death. That's not a code thing, and it's not my opinion, it's a fact. Granted, it's only under 5 PSIG here, so it's only a little bit risky. But, why tempt fate at all, and why risk misleading or confusing people about the considerable danger? Sorry to criticize, it's a safety thing.
