Nearly 105000 clicks in 10 days. That's insane. Thank you all for your positive feedback, for all your likes and wonderful comments. I've didn't expected this and done my best to answer them all 😀❤ It was pointed out to me that the Provider did not participate in the Berlin Airlift. That is correct, as it did not fly until 1953 and I apologize for this mistake. As a real Berliner, I should have known better. However, there are reports that the USAF flew with the C-123 Provider to Tempelhof Airport in the late 1950s and a photograph from www.planepictures.net/v3/show_en.php?id=595278 shows a USAF Provider at Tempelhof in 1964. The city airport was returned to Berlin when the US left Berlin in 1993 and Tempelhof become a civilian airport. In 2008, flight operations ceased and Tempelhof Airbase, this important symbol for Berlin with his long history was closed 😥 Depending my "Bookie Bird" .. there will be a sequel 😉 p.s. if anyone is already interested in the landing gear .. please contact my mechanical engineer vanek05@seznam.cz and ask him for an offer.

Thank you so much for this wonderful compliment Bert and I am truly honored 😊❤ but I believe there are many more who do this like me or better and may just not share it 😉
I was a hydraulic mechanic on the C-123 in Vietnam in 1969-70, Flight Controls, Landing Gear. Was not a pretty airplane but a great flyer. The ground troops sure love to see them coming in full of supplies. The turbines were J-85 jet engines. I loved working on this airplane. Easy to get to every thing.... well easier than a jet airplane, that is. Love the build. Great job. Great persistence and patience. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much Tom for you kind words and for sharing your memories 🙂 It's really wonderful to meet people along the way who have worked with the Provider or flown it. However, please excuse me if I do have to disagree with you 😉 because I love the shape of this machine and think the Bookie Bird is sooo beautiful with its voluptous curves 😍 .. and I really hope that my Provider also flies as well as the original ☺

Used to be one at Marana airport in AZ. I believe Evergreen used it in the 80s in Central America. Great aircraft.
You really mastered all of those mediums. I built RC planes in high school but never, ever thought we would have cnc routers, 3d printers, and laser cutters in our homes. What an amazing time to be a hobbyist.

Gillows, that takes me back in time. I was born in 1952. Pactra Dope fumes & Ambroid Glue. I built a beautiful Gillows Bristol Bullet - the tissue job was perfect - I just did not have the courage to fly it. I put it on the top of my dresser drawers & departed for Embry Riddle for college & flight training. When I came home for a trimester summer break, I almost cried. The sunrise every morning used to shine through my bedroom window & the beam would pass over my model. Well, it warped the upper wing & separated both ends of the wings from the outer wing struts - it was impossible to fix. I tried every trick in the book to warp it back into place with no joy. The last time I saw it was 1975 when I came home from the U.S. army. Those Gillows models were delicate. Your model in this video is beyond awesome; it is pure artwork...! It takes super human patience to create a model aircraft like yours...!!! If I had created a model aircraft like the one in this video - I'd be strutting back & forth in my hobby shop patting myself on the back...!!! Count on this comment as a pat on the back from an old Gillows model airplane model maker...!!! 😊
The micro-switches in the nose landing gear blew-my-mind completely. I'll be re-watching this video for years to come.

Thank you very much Captain Gary, also for your kind appreciation 😊 I have had a few sleepless nights, depending the nose gear. But it works, at least on my workbench 😄 By the way, I made a video of the design of the landing gear doors. Did you noticed it: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hWubw9N8nLGomrQ.html
I agree with the gentleman I'm 75 in about 12 years old I went to the Hobby Shop and they had a B-25 I wanted it so bad saved up my money worked 3 MI once a week to give him my 50 cents when I paid for it it was a solid wood kit that's what I built my first sticking paper airplane to watch your work bring tears to my eyes keep up the good work

This is how I thought my Gillows stick balsa and tissue models would look like when I built them 50 years ago! Each build was better but covering with the frame with included fraile tissue was challenging to say the least! I have not built with sticks in 40 years, but your video has inspired me to get back to it! Your words at the end were quite humble, point on, well grounded and inspiring! Thank you so very much for sharing this with us! May I add you did a very nice job with the video and a most amazingly excellent job on the construction itself! Bravo Sir, Bravo!

Superb !!!
You are a Master builder.
By the way, I would like to remind you all, that WD-40 is not for lubrication - as many people think - it is good for what it was designed for. For removing moisture and loosening connections. There is 15% oil there. It is 50% mineral spirit. It has to appear easily, penetrate and disappear quickly. Therefore, after cleaning, appropriate grease/gear oil should be applied. Oils for maintaining bicycles are surprisingly good. Light, low viscosity and even after wiping, they work well under load.
Fantastic work! Looking forwad to the final reveal!
