I did the dirty scrub method where you paint the phone with a sharpie and then use clear coat over the top.

Back when this phone was maybe a year old, I did hundreds of custom iPhones like this one. For the power pin, I used a Sim ejector tool. I stick it in the hole and then I broke off the rest of the tool. Pretty efficient and you most likely have some Chinese ones lying around which are the best for this application. Hope this may help you In the future. Keep up the great content! Your channel is pure nostalgia for me.

Really good job man! I was trying to fix the dock connector on my old 5c, but it didn’t fit properly. It works and all but I wish it can stay down so that I don’t have to break my charger.

i remember doing this with my iPhone 6s. it was a super painstakingly slow and tedious job and it took about 3 hours for me to do. if you ever want to do this. please make sure to take your time or you’ll rip and break something. good job with your iPhone 5. it looks amazing !

Check aliexpress, there are many colour housings, but its a hard as fuck job, I did it on an iphone 5 to repair scratches on a black stock case

@@jaideeplingineni5320 seems pretty smart to wait for the warranty to expire, remember to buy good tools, the battery sticker glue and of course the screen gasket if you do, I live in argentina and dont have anywhere to buy the screen gasket.

I build a iphone 5 into a 5s housing, everybody says it could not be done, but it can be done! You only have to sand down 3 stand off posts in the 5s housing but the rest of the screws line up perfecly fine! I used a space grey housing and it looked amazingly good!

Well I’ve done this with 5s where I bought housing without anything, opend my 5s take it a part and get all in new body, and after that i bought SE and do the same... First time it took me like 2 and a half hours cos there was missing screws of previous very bad servis... and second time with SE it took me like 1 hour and 20minutes cos everything was there where it supposed to be. Great video 👌🏻

Please answer this! i opened an iphone 7 and ripped one of the screen ribbons with the battery disconnected. since i only ripped one and the plate is still on, will it be fried? I cant test it because i dont have the screwdriver to remove the plate and one of the ribbons are ripped so i cant use the old screen.
