Hey lad I think you are doing fine. I build inlet manifolds and exhaust manifolds all the time and that’s a 1200 dollar manifold here in Australia. You are a lot more intelligent than you think. Doing the dimples dies the way you have. What it dose is allow more air to be force into the pipe. Because it’s force fed engine what you are doing is perfect. And if you are going to run a very big cam/ cams. It will take away the cam interference from your computer. Otherwise you have to tune in tps mode instead of map mode. And map mode is better. Good work lad you are going to get a lot of orders for inlet manifolds now. Witch is good more income. Cain hard lad.

I was very tight on space when doing my RWD 4G63 swap into my Datsun 510. I had a beautiful JMF RWD manifold that didn't fit. So I used the stock 1G intake manifold and chopped it similar to what you did. Since the ports were symmetrical, I just flipped it upside down and welded it back together. Seems to work fine at my current power level.

@@baysidefabrication exactly and stock m20 vs stock k24 without doing any forced induction already beats it out in the power gains not to mention the handling gains from being lighter. Although I'm going built with turbo so it'll be way too much fun for my own good! I will say your E30 looks to be a riot as well🤟

Awesome work! I kinda wish u made a raised velocity stack for the runners.
@spoolsociety_nv1159 Жыл бұрын
You could've just made the runners run up a slightly steeper degree and avoided a major part of the fitment issue with the ac pump . Yes the angle would be more steep which would hinder direct forward flow a bit more due to climbing up a steeper hill but hey, it all came out looking OK so more power to you brother. Good job

Using the dimple die for the radiused entries is pretty ingenious. I used the press and a forcing cone (on the pipes, not the plenum base), to flare out the pipes. And as a result, I had to build the intake from the outside in. That was kind of a pain.
