    Love the Citypop and glad you are feeling better! I am glad you posted this, what you have done is literally everything I plan to do with my 7th Gen (2002 GT) - down to the 12V USB/Ammeter, antenna nub & exact Pioneer Head unit! Sourcing parts in the Midwest has been tricky to say the least..Thanks for the time and the content, its always appreciated!

    I just picked up a 2000 Celica GTS 6 speed manual silver with 110,000 miles for $2,300! Your videos have been extremely helpful! I’m rebuilding everything on this car and hopefully can have it ready in 2 weeks! Waiting on some parts to come in. Btw I msg you on instagram about a power steering bolt question but never heard from you. It’s all good though. I found my answer

The moment I tested VERY positive across 3 home test kits, I was on the phone with my GP getting an Rx for PAXLOVID - It seriously made the difference. Worst part about the whole thing, I knew where I caught it, but this one snuck through after getting my booster shot Mid-November. I'm still speechless, and more annoyed I caught whatever variant..Feel better soon and if you can get Paxlovid, get it! The wind has been INSANE this morning in the Chicagoland area...

    Amazing job man, she looks fantastic. Been trying to make my GT-S pop as well. I opted for Tein Flex Z's myself so you made a good buy because they cost a LOT on the Celica for some reason. Not sure how you got the tein endlinks to fit, they were too short for me, but hopefully there is no harm in keeping my new replacements on from before. I noticed you swapped the leather for the cloth seat, did you find them as slippery as I did? I solved it by putting a carseat mat on them and putting a sheepskin cover on, PLANTED. Is that an original wing?! I've only been able to find those unpainted reproductions online and I feel like they wouldn't look good or just be super cheap. EDIT: I saw you had ripped leather seats and cloth covered them, makes sense. Also saw that you scored a TRD wing from a junkyard, my god you are lucky. Just ordered a $1,000 UK made to order carbon fiber TRD style wing myself and hood scoop, mostly to cut costs of having it sanded/painted, but of course with carbon fiber it still needs to be sanded and clear coated lol.

    Hi ! I have 2001 gt-s automatic, I'm the first owner and the car is great when it comes to reliable vehicle. This summer on the 5K miles oil change the motor was overfilled by much and I was going to very hard time to even check it until it blew valve cover gasket, chain cover gasket and crankshaft seals... So, I started watching your videos and saved some good amount of money by doing stuff myself. Here's the question: The lift bolt on the intake came out broken as expected so after a few attempts to get the stuck part out I gave up, drove the broken bolt back in and "closed" the engine... The car runs perfectly fine but I haven't revised the oil screen for the VVTL-i because my back gave up a little bit. Is it okay to keep driving it like that? Thank you in advance and happy holidays! PS. I don't like the lift system on them 2zz motors but that's probably because I have a soft spot for the Alfa Romeo 2L Twin spark engine where the timing advances at 3K rpm and it gives you a really good feeling. The Alfa Romeo that I had before I came to the States was 1998 gtv and I can't really compare it to many other sports cars not because I haven't driven enough of them, just in this class FIAT coupe and the Alfa gtv are the most exciting cars for me at my age of 45. It was huge disappointment to find out that the two cars that I love were not allowed here...

    @@arcanevoid9199 ... well, it was working in the beginning but the fact that it kicks after 6k rpm... I have driven a Lotus exige few times but this is a different story. Fellow GTS (2001) owner, I did the bolt swap myself and luckily they were still intact when removing the old ones. My auto transmission isn't functioning properly so I can't pass 7k rpm but my 6k-7k range went from "why am I slowing down" to my best power range by a country mile. If you've driven an Exige you probably already know the feeling but it really feels like a Corolla engine hiding a beast within...

  • @oprov46

    @oprov46

    Жыл бұрын

    @@Devixicus - Hi! I recently had to replace the TPS because it defected , meanwhile I took apart the throttle body and cleaned it up and now the car runs perfectly . Mine has no issues passing 7K RPM , (driving on M mode) it just accelerates fine but I miss the high lift... and yeah, the Lotus with 2/3 of the weight and 6-gear manual is awesome if you don't have bad low back pain. To be honest before I started to dig in the 2zz-ge engine I thought that VVTL-I is similar system to the Alfa Romeo variator where you get 25 degree advanced intake valves opening - no high lift cam but is fun to drive. Now a new bug got in my head - I want to restore an old Supra without tuning the 2JZ motor but that's a big project...
